Hi all, can anyone help?

My Autobox has been playing up for a while with gear changes under static load and constant revs. It's quite tempramental playing up more in the wet. I've checked TPS and that seems ok and tried disconnecting ECU but its still playing up. I am planning on changing oil but not got around to it yet.

While I was driving last night, the car started jumping. It wasn't the engine as it didn't do it in neutral, only in 'D'. I had to drive it under '1' and '2' all th way home while it was playing up. But after maybe 30secs, it would calm down though I couldn't get it to shift up once I reched lower revs and think I may have lost 3rd gear?

Will something as simple as an oil change fix this or am i looking at something more complex/expensive??

Thanks!

do a search for autobox problems issue faults they're are well known for failing and not changing up is a common fault.

and if all else fails see my post in the for sale section - I have a fast road autobox for sale ;)

I've got the 'old SE Nissan' fast road autobox you refer to in your for sale thread mate! lol...my car was worked on by them back in the day!

I'm going to run a diagnostic and see what it throws up...fingers crossed. I haven't saved up enough yet to go manual :x:
