Just been out to the Haynes museum [pretty good]and on the way back got toasted by a new beetle GTI.

I just couldnt shake him off , i let him past in the end, worst thing is my lad and his mate were in the car and now all will know!!!!!

Do you think something is wrong? or are they that pokey?

I was doing 80-100 a lot of the time.

Isnt the GTI Beetle a supercharged one?

If so, you should easliy get past. But you dont know whats under the bonnet of other cars.

But in general it doesnt sound right.

Thanks m8 i was wondering what should i check i havnt had it long.

I see from other posts that you have an Auto. It's a great 'box (IMO!) but you do have to have it in the right 'mode' if you are going to blow away any other quick car. When I first got mine I had a couple of similar experiences, but once I got used to the box nothing has come past since. You got to keep the revs up and the boost needle on the right! Make sure you have TOP quality oil etc, these motors are getting on a bit now. Have fun!
