i think someone was on about them on hear before....and basically people where saying dont bother as they will heat up and start getting sucked in and eventually collapse in.

I was going to get them but i shelled out abit more and got the metal pipes. I would advise you to do that as yi now they wont collapse in and they looks really nice aswell.

they'd only collapse in on themselves if they were on an na and theyd have to be really soft as shit to do so and your air filter would have to be about as pourus as a slab of lead!! lol! id try n get hold of solid pipes sound amaizing and probably cheaper

as mentioned, i would like hard pipes, but us redundant folk have to watch the pennies, the only reason i am replacing the original ones coz they have more or less had it (cracked), and now that i have seen them wouldnt wana leave them on there. i just thought this would be a 'cheap' replacement. But if they get sunk in and collapse then i guess its not worth investing in.

yeah they look good.

now to devise a way to raise some additional funds. hmmm

Why is that better, its still the same silicone hoses he uses :wack:

They contract under vacumn and expand under boost. Get some Polished Hardpipes or keep the stock ones.

btw - Fast2cool are just a reseller of chinese products that are copies of other brands. They are not the Manufacturer. Most notably they sell the Megan downpipes which many have, and do have mixed reviews in regards to fitment.

I bought the hard pipe kit from 2fast2cool and although they look good and appear to work fine the damn things didn't fit stright on. Making sure I had the right pipes in the right place still mean't that two of them had to be adpated to fit with the use of a hacksaw. Not a problem but still a pain.

why can't they be a direct fit lol

Not a clue mate. I restore classic cars for a hobby so my technical knowledge is not too bad. May be I just got an unlucky set that was just a bit too big on two of the pipes. As I said, it wasn't an issue and only needed a very small amount taken off two of them. Given the choice again, I would probably plum for a smithy hard pipe kit and pay the bit extra.

Because the bit that would collapse is now not silicon but an alloy :p :slap:

I'm running these and 14psi aint had any problems with them. not the best on the market but like you mine needed replacing. If you are on a budget then consider them, there was a thread about the force needed to get them to collapse and unless you have a proper modded engine then you wont have any problems:)
