    I know exactly what you mean, my mum asked me to get her a lego set off ebay for her boyfriend... i figured WTF and had a look at what she wanted, Number 8275, the motorised bulldozer. Arrived it was an absolute animal, so i wrapped it up and she gave it to him for xmas...

    It ate at me for 3 weeks and i snapped... and bought one for my self, took me just shy of 8 hours to build, 1400 parts or so and 3 instruction manuals but its amazing it really is. Even brought down my old technic models from when i was a kid (okay im only 22 now, but really 2 old to be playing with lego) it is amazing tho i have to admit!
