Glad you found out what the prob is, Better than short sighted though :rofl:,

I hate putting my contacts in at 7,am just so i can drive to work:headvswal

You're lucky matey, that's a bargain compared to what i had to pay for the last time i went to the opticians.

Including the test, a glaucoma test my two oakley frames and standard/tinted lenses it cost me £450 :rofl:

The price of glasses frames is a complete and utter rip-off. The profit margins are huge.

I should get some glasses really. I wear contact lenses but not owned a pair of glasses for about 10 years. The contacts are in from the minute I get up to just before I get into bed.

Especially if you want designer, I just wanted something a bit different and the oakley's looked spot but £360 quid for 20" of wire bend and pressed into shape? :rant:

I'm the same Allan, but I opted for some NO FRILL's one's for £80 from specsavers, seeing as I will only be wearing them at home.

I was told I needed glasses at 14, got by without them until my driving lessons at 17, then only wore them for driving and got my eyes lasered at 28.

Just a thought;

For those of you who work at a VDU for most of the day, your employer should be paying for your eye tests.........

........along with the "reasonable cost" of corrective vision if you need it for working at said VDU or if you can prove your deterioration in sight was down to having to work at a VDU.

Richard;)

PS sounds like a good deal, Stella........

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Cost me £117 from specsavers last time with free reactions lenses - still thought it was a fookin rip off :rofl:
