I remember the advert....is it a Hillman Hunter?

Nope, sorry !:)

Alan............

sprint

Sprint is a Dolomite model. Too small to be a Dolomite.

It's not a 2000 or Toledo. I don't think it's a Triumph as the headlights don't lend themselves to Triumph of that era.

So close Steve !!

Advert was filmed in South Africa, that any help ??

Alan.............

Looks like it's made from the BL parts bin. Middle section is Maxi/2000, boot is from an Ital, front end from a Hunter.

Spot on Steve !!!!:bow::bow:

The Austin Apache was designed by Michelotti in 1970, alongside the almost identical Austin Victoria, and was produced by Leyland South Africa at their Blackheath plant from 1971 until the mid Seventies.

Like the Victoria, the Apache is a well-disguised Austin 1300, with extended nose and tails sections grafted on. The centre section is virtually unaltered, howewever, so the doors are a bit of a giveaway. Not much more to say about it really

Alan............

The front view shot of the headlights in the vid made me think Austin but i must admit i hadn't heard of either lol
