When i was 18 my mum and Dad used to have a Nissan Bluebird Harrier ZXI Turbo, when the 300 came out they were invited to the local Nissan dealers for drinks and to have a sit in one, ect, ect, later, when they came home with all the brochures i had a quick look through and could'nt believe what Nissan had created. I badgered my Dad for weeks about how we needed one, but there was no way he was going to spend over £30,000. Ever since that day, i promised myself that i would own one, then 4 years ago i took the plunge, and have never looked back. This is one supercar that lived up to my childhood expectations.

about 15 years back i remember as a youth bout 10 or so i was walking back from some shops as it was just bout turning night, i saw this mad looking pearl white car with these neon surrounds on the number plate neons underneath (all the hype back then) and some huge rims prob bout 19s dropped.

now back then you never really saw cars with even 17s so it was a seriously increadible sight. i remember it was at frontline of the highstreet, my jaw dropped like the rest of the people caught in a gaze.

after that i saw this strosek one with deep dish rims in maxpower years ago after that i thought im gonna own one of these no matter what (bout 18-22k at the time for a standard one)

but after seing alot of tatty ones over the years and with some shitty bodykits trying too hard to look like a ferrari of some sort put me off, and even tho i could afford it and i guess to the general lay man, i was driving around in far 'better' newer cars (Alpina BM's, verts etc) i had an itch to buy one. finally got one im hopefully keeping for good just last month. my second zed now

Its good to hear other stories!

My love affair with them started when I was playing football for under 8s (very long time ago lol) and the manager had a brand new one in red. I absolutely loved it but never thought I'd ever get to own one as they were so expensive. I used to ride my bike 3 miles from my house and go past his driveway with the hope the Z would be parked there!

I got my first one when I was 22, then sold it in search of more power which was when I bought the R32 GTR, but I was hooked on Z's so sold the GTR to clear some finances and bought my 2nd Z last april. Then I got told I was losing my job, and together with needing to buy a house I decided to sell the Z for some shitty 2 litre euro box. But I've just gone and bought my third Z, I just cant keep away from them, I love Zs!

1998. I worked at NEC Semiconductors in livingstone where it was normal to see some nice cars in the car park. Looked out the window one day and there sitting in the car park was a bright red TT, had no idea what it was, just new I wanted to get one.

11 years on I still haven't got one. Hope to change that soon!
