I was living on the outskirts of Washington DC in 1990 when the daughter of a neighbour was given one by her parents as a graduation present. Saw it on their drive every day (pearl white, very much like Funkysi's car only SWB) until her numpty boyfriend wrote it off by trying to park it backwards up a tree! She got a Mazda Miata (MX5 to you and me) after that but that's when the ZX bug bit me. Bought my JDM TT in 2001 and still have it (although it's been off the road for over a year now awaiting an engine rebuild ...)

Back in 1991 when I was 11 my uncle had a red TT for the weekend while his Maxima was being serviced. He took me for a spin around the estate, and fell in love with it instantly, I remember thinking how it felt like I was in an aeroplane taking off as he shot up the road.

When i layed my eyes on the Beast back at the Jap show in 2006!!

Only took me two years to find my one :) Age was the main problem :( Was 18 at the time and picked mine up at age 20and been loving it ever since

There used to be a pearl yellow SWB that lived in the next town on from my parents. I guess I must have been 16 or 17, so it was only a few years old and always remembered how exotic it looked. Then, 6 years later when I was working at the MOD, I quite often saw a red TT that was owned by one of the scientists there. It was at that point that I thought, 'I'd like to get one of those'. As luck wouldn't have had it, I was made redundant a few years after I started there and didn't pursue in get one. A few years on back in a decent job, I started looking again. BMW 8 series and Gen 4 Z28 Camaros were cars that were at the top of my list, but I kept going back to the Z.

I've had mine about 3 and a half years now and I have enjoyed owning it. I love the rarity value and the fact that the Z32 looks so good, even now long after production ended.

I feel disgruntled about the car sometimes when I see clapped out rust cans and cars with horrendous amounts of tacky fibreglass bodykits bolted to them, but I am still very much a fan of the Z32. IMO, the best looking car Nissan have ever made.

When I was about 14, a guy that lived opposite one of my friends had a black one, brand new about 18 years ago, I loved the look and sound of it.

The same friend then bought a grey import TT when I was about 24, the first time I went out in it I was amazed at the power, decieded that when I had the money I would buy one, 7 years later I got my first TT.

2003 my boss was looking at one but settled on a vx220. I was driving back from a mates in leicester in 2005 when i saw the black na lwb i had. Fell in love with it, metalic black, black leather and targas. Took it for a test drive and i was smitten the first day, 25 degrees, roof off driving back with the sun setting in the distance.

One day i'll always remember, i'm now onto my fourth and hopefully the best! :hyper:

I was driving down road and this chap with dreadlocks (caribzx)was driving a silver zed in front of me and i thought crikey i love that car went home looked up 300zx, the following week me and paddy drove to manchester in a 1.1 saxo and as soon as i seen my car on the driveway i had to have it, drove it home and here i am 3 years later a LOT wiser. thanks john.xx:)

dan.:D

I fell in love with the Z31 back in the '80's, and became obsessed with the 300 when the Z32 came out in '89. Took me 20years to get one (which was killed 2 months later!!).

I was 17 or 18, first year into my 6th form, it was hometime and many students were out next to the car park. There was me chilling with a few girls and all I heard was a really nice and loud exhaust sound outside school and next thing you hear kids shouting "WOW WHAT A CAR" and stuff. Get to the car park and I see a Red lowered 300 with a nice spoiler and wheels entering the car park. It was a great sight with many students gathering up. Nice bright sunny day. Car parks up and it turned out to be a friend of mine who had come to pick up his cousin. I did hear many times before how much of a nice car he had but never saw it or new what it was. But it was that moment when I decided that yes I am going to buy one of them. I even told the girls that I was gona get that. Then it was about 2 or 2 and a half years later, must've turned 19-20 when I bought my first 300TT. On my second one now.:)

There was a black one driving about when i had my mrk1 mr2.....it was then i realised i had to have 1........had a look at 3 or 4 before buying the one i have now......6 years in may...the longest ive ever owned a car.......keep saying 2 myself get something more cheaper 2 run...dont think it will happen though, she's my soulmate.....

I was a kid when the adverts were on T.V with the zed that races the car, bike, plane back in the early 90's, me and my dad used to joke about buying one.

My mum bought one in 98(Import NA), which i always wanted and bought from her about 2006,fully serviced and maintained! :) (never thrashed or done over 70mph)

I sold it soon after as i felt it was too slow and wanted something quicker.

6months later and the cravings started after seeing a silver one nearby.

So i started looking again, it had to be a TT and it had to be silver!

Back in 1991 there was a magazine called Supercars and in that mazagine the 300zx was reviewed. It looked beautiful and nicer than the hot cars of the time such as the Lotus Esprit Turbo SE, Ferrari Testarossa all of which were reviewed in various issues. Didn't see one in the flesh until a good many years later and was not disappointed. Fell in love with the proportionality of the SWB and even to this day it still looks absolutely fantastic. When ever I drive it young kids come up looking at it. Just show what a timeless beauty the Zed really is.

correction of year of magazine, the issue which I am just after securing

2000, Jap Fest at Billing, think i have had 8 now in total!

My brother was given a match box model of a Z32 (yellow) when we were very young. It always won when ever we had a race around the sand pit (cos it looked so cool), even beat my favourite MR2. It's been my favourite/dream car ever since.

Must say this threads a great read!

I was 19 and there was a silver Z for sale in a local garage and i just fell in love with it... it was there for ages... kept looking out for it when i drove past... used to think to myself 'when iv got the money i'l have that'... anyway soon after it sold. I was gutted cause i never found out what the car was. A few months later i was driving my old Citreon when i saw one ahead... managed to catch up and find out what it was. After untold amounts of google image searches I then found this place and soon after bought the black NA which i have now. Never looked back since.

I was working for a roofing co, the boss steve had a silver TT, took me for a spin and it started then. Im on my 2nd, but keep hassling steve to sell me his, as its a full spec Impul 300.

Once you get bitten by the zed bug its hard to turn back,

I used to look at Scoobys and supras, and admire them, not any more.:hyper:

around 2002 my brother imported a 300zx, 1990 i think it was, had some modifications from japan, bro did some himself and then he had around 350-400hp. got a 13.6 second 1/4 mile i think it was and an allegeed 650hp r33 only beat him by 0.2 seconds. after cruising in those spotless leather seats with the tagras off i knew it was the car i will have when im older PhotoAlbumBig.jsp?MemberId=3628225249&PhotoAlbumId=3817721914&PhotoId=6532297752PhotoAlbumBig.jsp?PageNbr=1&MemberId=3628225249&PhotoAlbumId=3817721914&PhotoId=3817723609 (hope pictures work)
