Picked up my perspex strip today. Once i got it home opened it all up, and it looks as if it has the brake light in it, but i hav e no bulbs or wiring etc. What i was thinking is........does the strip without the brake light come with a reflector as to where the light would be as this is what it looks like it could be.

No, the strip is either specially built with the brake lamp, or is simply a straight run through, if you see what I mean.

hello. i have uploaded photos into my ride section. Can someone have a look and let me now what they think. In the photos you are able to see where the bulbs should go. Any ideas lads if this is a brake light or not. IF so i wasnt planning on having it working anyways, but where would i get the lights and fittings, clips n anything else needed?

is the black outer surface transparant in order to let light shine through?

Yes that looks to be the one with brake light so will have a transparant outer surface so light shine's through !

 

It's more expensive than the standard one >(ie: no light , just strip)

i thought they got my order wrong then.lol, but i still dont have any lights or plugs to put the light into service.

 

I paid 50.98 including tax for a perspex strip with no brake light, and that is the one i was given.

Im sure someone posted a reply in a thread not long ago , and they where listed as 2 seperate part No's ??

yeah they did, was in one of my threads. I handed over that code to the dealership. I cant help but think it is just the strip though as i dont have any brackets etc....for fitting lights.

 

But yeah i only ordered the standard one at the cheap price, so it would be nice to see if they got it wrong.

 

Strip came well packed in a box aswell, so was impressed, no chance of damage
