CD stacker problem

have a sony cd stacker thingy in my boot. I can no longer release the 'cartridge' which holds the (6) C.D.'s. there is a press switch on top of the stacker which still makes a whirring sound when pressed but the cartridge doesn't move.

 

Can anyone help with this one please?

    Bump- have tried disconnecting battery or aperiod of time but no different- any ideas?

    If it's a sony one like they have in Ford's there should be a pinhole nor some small circular entry that is a manual release for the cartridge. Don't know how it'll work if there is CD half in or half out though.

     

    In the past I've found these devices fairly easy to get the covers off to fix whatever the problem is
