the dipped lights on mine have a 2 pronged connector going to it.

My local have just sold me some H7v as these are the only bulb with 2 prongs - However just seen on here I may need H3's instead

Will the H7 fit or shall I take them back?

If I get the H3 I presume I just leave on of the spades on the connector unplugged?

cheers - thing is Im trying for my mot in a few days so needed to sort out tomorrow.

They look like the same connector as the H7 I have but Im guessin the H7 are not gonna fit.

May have to rethink.

Seen 100w hc3 bulbs on ebay cheap, as the standard 55w bulbs are rubbish would these be a good upgrade .It does mention not for street use maybe a good upgrade instead of a hid kit what do you think.

I've got H3C's in stock (£12/pair + £1.58 p&p)! Can get a set out to you today for delivery on Tuesday.

As for the 100W bulbs - I do those as well but in practice they aren't that much brighter than the normal 55W bulbs. The problem with the headlights is not with the bulbs but rather with the headlight unit itself. Usually the problem is two-fold: (1) dirty glass on the inside and (2) poor alignment. Many years ago when I first cleaned my headlights on the inside the light output from the SAME stock halogen bulbs was increased by at least 50%. No real need to put higher wattage bulbs in. However, upgrading to HIDs made a heck of a difference but again, the improvement will only be maximised if the insides of the headlights are clean and dust/grime free.

PS - don't buy the cheap 55W or 100W bulbs off eBay - I've bought them for comparison reasons with the bulbs I stock and found the eBay bulbs to be absolute crap!

So true,

My HID's are really poor, no doubt because of the dirty lenses and ive bought some of those cheap bulbs before and they died in a day!
