started my 300

i started my 300 for the first time for approx 3-4 months, had a dead battery, boost issues and smoking, so i thought no point driving until jimmer rebuilds my engine.

anyway, fitted new battery and she started on the first turn, a little smoke, a little tapping, but sounded fine. just need to get me a mot and drive to bristol to see jimmer.

i love my 300!!!

Tell me when you're down and I'll pop over. Jimmer's only 15 mins away from me. :)

My ZX is off the road for Winter but start her every 2weeks(starts first twist of the key, instantly!), let her run for a bit and she runs smoother than my BMW! Amazing motors.

You're better off leaving it rather than just sit it there on idle mate. You're not doing the engine any good doing that.

I started mine last week for the first time in nearly 2 months. But luckily, the roads were clear/salt free, so gave it a nice run. Otherwise, once it's in the garage, that's it. Certainly won't start it unless I know it's going to have a good road-warm up. It started no problems like always. :)

imho 300's are a good car, well designed for the 90's.

my 300 is not a daily drive and i think a car of this age must be in top form to be driven daily without problems.

pete, i hope you get your 300 sorted mate, it is very fustrating when things go bad.

See its possible to have love and 300 in the same phrase, mine passed MOT last week first time,

Amazing the difference a new battery makes.

dont worry about me mate, i dont mind problems so long as i can get to work and afford to fix em, dont mind getting my hands dirty and i learn alot from these crappy issues.

Besides i love these cars!
