Has anyone changed the bushes on the diff?

 

Ive got the diff out now im just having trouble getting the old bushes off.

 

The hardest ones are the ones attached to the chassis of the car.

 

Do i need a press?

I believe so mate - I have the full kit to do on mine.

 

someone told me you need a press- others said you could burn them off with a blowtorch

For the subframe bushes I burned mine out to get rid of the rubber, then used a combination of hacksaw, hammer and chisel to get the shells out.

 

The trouble is finding somewhere with a big enough bushing press to handle an entire subframe.

 

There is a guide on the net somewhere of the above procedure...will see if I can find it.
