Thanks!!

thats exciting eh??

Well I think these ones I have are Ser 2.

Is there any way to tell???

Will they light up in my 95 slicktop???

Under neath the switch you should see a bulb holder, flush mounted.

IIRC its late series 2/3 and if you try to fit to a series 1, it will not illuminate, although the plug is the same, there are 2 less wires, ie: no illumination feed.

Is that just on the drivers side Graham????

Hi Pete

Yes, only the drivers door was illuminated, just the up arrow

If you look at the connector when unplugged from the switch, the bottom 2 pins to the left are the feed and ground.

thanks for that. I might give it a try just to see what happens........

Or I might just sell it.:)

Maybe somebody might want to put an LED up its chuff:eek:

The standard bulb is not very bright, you may have to cup your hand around the arrow to see if it lights up.

Its a pain getting an led in, you have to take the whole switch apart to get to the board, not just a plug and play like the drivers pod. The contacts of the socket make connection on the inside of the board rather than the outer like the pods, makes a difference tho

I will have it if you getting rid, let me know how much and where.

Cheers

Graham

i changed both of mine to LED just by modifying the bulb holder: rip old bulb out of holder with pliers, bought a 5mm wedge bulb http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/wide-angle-high-ultimate-wedge-blue-p-1428.html , unfolded wires, pulled blue casing off, put LED in bulb holder, tuck wires into place (optional add 2 small blobs of solder ) and put holder back in switch

????????

the small round recessed grey bit on the drivers side just above the 303v sticker is the bulb holder

my '95 vert window switch is the same as the one in your picture, wiring was there and lit up fine once i'd changed the bulb
