can hear it whilst driving too, it sounds like the central locking every 3 - 5 seconds it makes a clicking noise like the central locking is doing somthing (its not) also when im staitionary and the engine is idling it makes the lights dim when it clicks so its sucking power, iv checked the battary and its perfect looks new to its reading 14.70v anyone got any idea what it is thats making the noise iv taken the door card off but i cant locate the noise?

Voltage is a wee bit high - I'd expect 14.4 or lower. Depends on meter accuaracy I suppose

Could be your alarm if you have one. My clifford locks the doors via the central locking when i hit 3000 RPM. If your alarm is trying to lock the car but cant, it will keep trying. I noticed this when i didnt close my door properly.

Try dropping the widow slightly to just check it not the window trying to carry on raising, if this is the case the clicking will be the window module.
