does anyone know witch headers are best for the n/a zed? i made the mistake of fitting some from xs tuning, passinger side went on fine but had to relocate the lamber cencer on the drivers side then found that it rubs on the steering coloum! :rant: i was thinking of fitting a pair of stillin units next time as the ones i found are ceramic coated but does any one know which ones would be the best? and is there a differance between left and rite hand drive? cheers guys

Stillen wont fit either, only ones I know of that will fit a RHD are Nismo which would be very difficult to get hold of, TTZ which again will be difficult to find or Alunox, do a search for Alunox and you will find its been talked about a lot.

They XS TUNING are the easiest to get hold of and getting an welder / exhaust co to relocate the O2 sensor boss/ thread is a simple and inexpensive job.

Alunox made a series of NA headers for us (Smithy's Place) some time ago. I'm pretty sure there are still a few left over. I'll contact Leon and see what he still has and what the current price is. These headers are hand made from the highest grade stainless steel and guaranteed not to foul on anything. Specifically made to fit RHD cars.

 

I'm pretty sure Alunox has shut down until the beginning of January so bear with me whilst I await an answer.

Hope you had a good Christmas & New Years!

 

I just got off the phone with Alunox and their quoted price for NA headers is £520+VAT=£598 + shipping. I can do them for £535 plus £20 shipping. Unfortunately they are closing down at the end of the week for two weeks so won't be able to do them until end of the month. Lead time will then be 3 ~ 5 days. The kit includes a pair of headers, gaskets to the down pipes and studs/bolts.

All the ebay ones are LHD as far as i'm aware but flattening the right hand header with a hammer where it comes into contact with the steering column is usually the way people sort this problem out from what i've heard?

 

The lambda sensor didn't seem to foul mine so must be that sort that cause the problem.

 

Mine was rubbing against the steering column and this stopped the problem reoccurring again
