Got my self a Linksys Wireless Broadband router... its model WRT300N

Now i wanted a wireless modem but ordered this by mistake, now if i can get it to work i'll just keep it.. but there lies the problem... i cant.......

I have to keep my free talktalk modem plugged in and connect the router in series.. no probs but the install software says that it cant connect to the internet/internet not present, but if i disconnect the ethernet cable from the router(which goes to the computer) and plug it into the modem..away i go..it seam that the modem and router arnt talking to each other....

i've been trying for about 2 hours now with dofferent settings and no luck...

help is needed here i think

I assume you've got it in the right sequence.......

The computer should connect to the router first and then the router should connect to the modem and the modem to the net..... make suer the in and out cables are in the right connectors for each device....

Sorry if that's a bit simplistic but I'm not at home either so I Cant do much to troubleshoot

I think you either have to ditch the TalkTalk modem, or switch the new router to bridging mode. Not sure you can do that in the Linksys software though.
