Get a meter and make sure you're getting 12volts there. If you need to replace it I've got a second hand one for sale :)

There's a relay thing.......

 

.....it's like an opaque cigarette box sized item just around the right hand rear wheel arch (inside the boot trim). I replaced mine and that solved the problem.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

mine didn't work when got my car, it went up 6 inches and then stopped. I took it apart and found that the flexible toothed plastic strip thing had completely disintegrated.

Does anybody know how much for a full replacement Unit? Mine doesn't move at all now but used to go up but not all the way down, i can still hear the motor so guessing it's the teeth.
