central locking

has kinda semi stopped working, you have to spin the key like 5 times to get it to lock the driver-side then the passenger-side stopped locking with it? now there both playing up? is there some sort of cleaning or bending/fixing i can do? i got a letter thru from the police saying car thieves were operating in my area, iv got an alarm surely there's away of making it work the central locking? dont like using the key anyway

When you say "spin 5 times" do you mean complete rotations one after the other without turning it back the other way, if so somethings busted.

 

Mine did that and the plastic clip on the other side of the barrel was snapped.

poo! yea if you spin it to the right or to the left it usually takes about 5 attempts in 1 or the other direction, ill have to take it appart and have a look:hurl:

take the door card off. You should see a yellow plastic clip on the end of the barrel. I dont have the photos I took anymore.
