Finally got to court yesterday after waiting 5 months for the summons. 100.1 on motorway = 6 points and £145 fine. Not to bad I think. Still get to drive me lovely motor, but will be off road any way replacing the shocks. Would have prefered a small ban.

Doesnt affect insurance until the next time, in march.

Better check that out. I think on the policy it will say if anything changes regarding your policy you have to declare it.

I got done on the M1 Going South just past the M25 about 5 years ago. I was doing about 125mph but managed to slow down when I spotted their Volvo in the lay-by, got done for 106mph. They gave me an on the spot fixed penalty £40 fine and three points.

Well chuffed with that result!

You need to inform the insurance company straight away as they can void your policy if you make a claim in the meantime without telling them of your points and fine.

It probably wont affect your premium until you renew, but it covers your ass until then!
