I am not interested in max bhp figures, but I do think I have comfortably outgrown my 300 -350bhp having run stockish TT's for 5 years. I've had induction kits, exhaust, ecu and 1mm boost jets before (I'm guessing maybe 350bhp?)

What is the most useable power you can have in a TT ans still have an everyday usuable car with lots of torque and little lag and still keep a good idle?

Oh and what needs to be on the shopping list?

tricky one mate - it depends entirely on your own preference! mine should be comfortably over the 400bhp mark, and with one or two extra mods i'm aiming for 450 (and then aftermarket turbos, cough!). its my daily driver and even only running 15psi it has everything i need - its not trying to kill everyone when i drive through a village or in a built-up area, but when i see that first national speed limit sign followed by two rumble strips and then a straight piece of road, my goodness does it feel good!!!

That was my aim, so I went for JWT530bb, full forged engine rebuild, SMIC, 615cc Inj even went for a new Nismo crank. Unfortunately, the car was only just run in on a JD chip and now is off the road. Next stage would be aftermarket ECU and rolling road tune.

I went for the JWT as they are near stock spool up.

Where do you get a nismo crank from? and what benefits do you get?

I got it from http://www.czp.us I bought it as I was trying to build a bullet proof engine and had replaced everything else, so thought what the hell, replace the crank while the engine was apart. It does state they have a higher tolerance and grades beyond stock for the tighest fit.
