It will be the little black box behind the boot trim. Its on the Drivers side, you'll need to remove the plastic boot trim to get to it. Black box about 3" x 1.5" x 1", with a single connector.

Could also be a loose connector behind the fuse box in the driver side footwell - I had the same problem a few years back.

cheers guys i think i seen that when i was having a poke around,il also check behind the fuse box!a few other problems are leaky door rubbers, lazy speedo,crappy boot lifters and problem with the wiring for rear speakers as they dont work.if anyone has the little black box i need i would be very interested in buying it!!cheersa>

I cant find any pics, but its Black Plastic. Approx 3" x 1.5" x 1" with a big female connector at one end.

 

It lives behind the boot trim where the Boot interior light and electric aerial are.
