Hi, fitted an N/A diff etc to my SWB TT, but of course the propshaft dosnt fit.

I have the N/A prop, which is too long, and my shorty prop which dosnt fit the diff. Can I swap various parts over or is it an N/A shorty prop only.

What is the best way forward, please anyone?

Cheers

i think front half of the TT one with rear half of the n/a should do the trick (assuming n/a onw was also from a SWB)

Yep, you need a NA SWB rear prop half and mate it up with your front half.

or you could get a Lightweight one piece prop

Yes, thanks for that, this is what I thought, and of course my N/A prop is from a LWB.

Anyone know the cost of a single piece prop? Or anyone have a N/A SWB prop laying about?

Thanks again.

hi Mark

cant help you with the prop mate but would be very interested to know how you rate the NA diff conversion when you get to drive it ...ive opted for the TT diff with leader gears just need my car back to get it all fitted . i think the leader gears arr even more aggresive than the N/A diff set

Hi Steve, I will try and remember to let you know, in fact I will put a thread on here about what I think.

Slightly worried about too much wheelspin in the lower gears, but looking forward to increased mid range and more responsiveness. (is that a real word?)

As I only use the car for playing about in fuel consuption is not an issue. I have also fitted new aftermarket turbo elboes, de cat pipes and a Firdanza ally flywheel. So I hope it is all worth it.

Next job is fitting the GTR front calipers etc and I am then done. I think, lol.

.................FOR NOW!!!! :x:

Cheers Mark

i think i will suffer from wheel spin but my aim was to reduce the Lag of the bigger tubbies PE 1420's by altering the rear diff gearing , i have mike smith manifolds to help with spool up..i dont know how its all going to go, but i think we will need to re learn these cars again when its done ..looking forward to the thread when its up

I have an N/A LWB single-piece prop - I understand that one end can be converted to mate to a TT gearbox by modifying the flanges. Can both ends of the prop be converted so it mates a TT gearbox and a TT diff, or can you only do this at the gearbox end? If it is possible, is it advisable to do or will it lose some of its strength?

A LWB prop is too long, but any decent prop company can shorten it and fit the correct end. Easy.
