just a quickie to let you know my zed got beaten up tonight on the way home from work, an inconsiderate tosser decided to rear end me at about 30 mph while i was stationary sending me into the rear of the van in front.

It's definatley gonna be a write off.

Sorry to hear about this. The same happened to me a few years ago and it really p1ssed me right off, so I know how you feel. The insurance should give you enough to get another Z. Make sure you get a good whiplash claim in and you'll break even - that was the advice I had from the garage at the time.

Sorry to hear! Always sad to crash when its not your fault and Insurance companies arent the nicest of people when it comes to Zed's! Best of luck with them though

i'm almost certain it's a write off, got a big crease in the nearside quater just behind the door so it looks like it's twisted the chassis, i'll get round to posting some pics sometime this week

Looking at the first and 2nd picture I would have said no way, if I hadn't seen the left exhaust. It's hard to tell from the pictures but going by the amount of exhaust exposed at the back on the passenger side, it does look like it's been pushed in a fair bit.

 

So they declared it a write off then ?

Did you get a buy back opion so you can make some money from breaking it or did they want too much to buy it back ?.

Two bumpers and a head light? Doesnt look that bad at all to me!

 

Tail gate seems to sit square so thats a good sign.

 

Chances are its just crumpled part of the exhaust or bent it.

 

If its a good price ;).... No stop my self! Ive just sold one 3 days ago cant buy another one yet!

 

Anyway glad your not too injured mate - im sure your neck will be right as rain soon!

If that's the late(ish), low mileage, UK spec manual car that I'm thinking of; then you must get it repaired.

 

It would be one hell of a waste for that one to be written off.

The left hand exhaust is as normal, the pipe on the right has been pushed under the car

i have got the option to buy it back, which i will do, with a view to getting it sorted
