When I started my car tonight to come home after firing up OK, the 'Power' light flashed on/off for a few seconds. Is it trying to make contact to tell me something? Simon 91300ZXTT

last night, i decided to go and have a look at how much work is involved to fit the spoiler brake lamp i got from Hairsy (cheers dave) I was going to look at the wiring loom to see if i had the connector already, or how easy/difficult to run a new wire. Well, things came to an abrupt end when i realised that none of my philips screwdrivers were quite right to get the damn screws undone that hold the blanking plate in place. They seem to have rusted a little bit too, and i only had them undone a couple of months ago. Craig. (Trying to keep his sense of humour about car related things :-)

Just thought I'd let you all know about the service I had yesterday at Silvia Engineering. I went there for my 330 mm AP racing disks and when I arrived they found that they'd been sent the wrong disks. Instead of sending me away again, Peter himself drove up to Birmingham to get the right disks for me. It was really important to me to get them done this week as I'm driving to Le Mans on Friday so this service was hugely appreciated. Just thought it deserved a mention. And if anyone else is planning to go to Silvia in the near future - check out the gorgeous blue 300ZX convertible - converted from NA to TT, auto to manual, normal body to VERY WIDE body ! Gorgeou…

Hello again Last weekend, finally bolted on a (slighly smaller version) Impreza bonnet scoop and ram-air pipes to feed air to the engine bay. Will post piks in a few weeks time. The bonnet is aluminium so won't rust, but was surprisingly easy to drill holes ! William Flint

Craig, Sounds like a suspension prob dont it, Try jacking up the car at the jack points in front of each wheel, then inspect the Shox for signs of leaks and the springs for any signs severe corrosion or damage. Another less reliable but lazier way is to give the car a good lateral shove around each of the wheels and listen for creaking. The side that is the lowest will more than likely have the problem. Got Rice? from tt/Z32 had a Group buy on Tein Coil overs, Go for a set of them if you are unsure what the problem is as they are Springs and Shox Together. Ride is meant to be pretty hash tho, but nice handeling for any MR2 bashing adventures :…

As most of ya know, my old Z has been laid up for a while, in a garage that is frequently unacessible most of the time im there. Well, after finally reconnecting all the the lines and balance tube, i did the Boost jets and ECU job with no probs ( i presume not having any boost to see what if it is working) Anyway when i finally got to acutally drive the car there was a nasty Metal on rusty Metal Scraping sound. coming from the rear of the car, It didn't happen in Neutral with the engine idling, so im counting out the drive train. Nothing is draggin on the floor. It only happens when the wheels turn. Im putting my money on Calipers seizing around the breaks, …

Occasionally when i brake hard, my o/s/f wheel locks up briefly. It seems the ABS is a little slow to respond on that wheel. But i have no warning lights. How do i tell if i have a sensor problem or something else ? Craig.
