Over the weekend I upgraded by brakes. I have never done this before, only half watched hubbie do my Rover's rears. I read up like a good girl and thought oh well how hard can it be. Saturday was going great untill I couldn't get the calipers off. Had to send hubbie to buy me a bar braker lol I got very dirty, hot and sweaty but I managed to do it. New Brembo 10 groved discs and red pads. Sunday came the rears, this time I had a better idea just what I was doing. Off came the old worn away pads, the calipers and the worn down disc's. I replaced them with Brembo 10grove and red pads, and put the wheels back on. Great I think, then oh no h…

Hi, I've just changed the rear discs and pads with absolutely no problems at all. :) Then to the fronts... The disc looks correct, but I just can't get the caliper to fit correctly over the disc - the disc seems to be slightly (0.5mm) outboard to far - I have cleaned up the hub assy and tried to push the disc full home but to no avail. The caliper fits around the disc - but cannot be bolted back without fouling on the outer surface of the disc. So, decided the disc was out of spec, had the motor factors get me a replacement set from a different manufacturer... looks like i'm going to have the same problem again... they are dimensionally identical. …

Hi all, i currently own a uk twin turbo and the clutch is mullered! I have purchased a new clutch kit with release bearing, driven plate and friction plate, i've been to my local garage and they've told me it's a big job and they can't fit me in for 2 weeks. Does any one know of any good garages in the Mansfield/Nottinghamshire area that would be able to tackle the job? Cheers Sean

From one problem to the next. sorted power steering pump now just had the pleasure of running on 5 cylinders for the lastday or so. Used Datascan and found no.3 not working. After sh***ing myself took off throttle cover, messed around with loom and it came back to life. Also noticed cover of Ptu and cas connectors breaking up. when i pull on ptu wires (gently) engine speed changes. I know that this brittle/broken wire thing seems to be a common problem on here. Is there an easy fix or can i get new connectors and/or loom to sort it. Am hoping there must be a solution cos i dont think it's going to survive for much longer. cheers nick

Hi guys, my mate has recently purchased a Supra twin turbo jap import with the six speed manual box, for the six weeks it took to get here all he did was sound off about how much better it was than my Z, he reckons there faster, stronger and far superior to the Z. So imagine the surprise he got when he raced my Z down the local bypass and spent the whole time watching my Z pull away from him in every gear!!! Although I beat him he still reckons the Supra is a superior car because the engine is a lot stronger as standard, surely the engine cant be that much stronger or are they? So what do you guys reckon Supra or 300zx (I know the results wont be biased at all LOL)…
