Hi, i have just done a manual swap on my 91 Auto TT and fitted a NA gearbox, iam now having issues with the speedo not displaying the correct speed, when i start the car and move the car forwards a tiny bit it will show 20 mph or more and stay there until i turn the car off i pulled out the speed sensor and it has the the red cog on it. My question is do i need to fit the blue TT cog to get the speed to display correct or is there another issue Thanks for the help

Hi zedders, hope some of you older heads can shed some light on what may be my issue with my Z Started hunting very badly when engine gets warm, iacv was my first idea, had it off and cleaned up , both solenoids click with 12v and ohm out at 10 & 22 ohms Maf looks in good shape , tps is in spec also Only thing that does look strange is on the datascan, the aac reading is on 12% when cold and hot , Initial startup it was at around 36% but dropped rapidly to 12% , so something isn't right but can't use the car as it basically stalls out when warm idle is all over place I've read up it should be at 15% when warm is this correct? Hi Everyone. The actuators on my soft top have ceased working (all 3 of them ) and I would be grateful if anyone could direct me to a local supplier. At this moment Japan seems to be my only option. Failing that can anyone recommend an electronics boffin who could work at the component level? Regards Geoff

Hey all, I've fitted a new in tank fuel pump to my Zed, on the recommendation of my of my mapper/tuner (it was running out of puff under load). He is suggesting that he wires in a new relay and wiring, as the existing thirty year old wiring may fail under load..... Thought please? Thanks - Andy

Anyone running wide band sensors, if so where did you place them ? Is having them at the factory o2 location bad for them being too close to the turbos ?

I am wondering what solutions (if any) people have gone for when adding central locking to their Z that never came with it. I understand retrofitting the later OEM system is not so feasible due to parts being discontinued (?) but I am not sure how much I trust the eBay kits knocking around online either.

As above. Need to get the Zed an oil change. Would you also stick to genuine oil filters?

hi i bought my 300zx about 2004 and joined your club for severall years ive still got the car its a turbo 1990 when i was a member it was painted in multy coloured cromaflare i use to go to the reading meets but just lost touch with everyone the car was fine until last year when it developed a water leak at the back of the engine so i took it off the road to fix it so i decided to remove the plennum and polish it at the same time also done the water and egr delets but cant remember how to put it back together and need help because these cars are amazing can somone tell me where the two egr pips running down the engine goes thanks bobby

If I was looking to DIY replace my current cat-back system with another, what parts should I be replacing? And are there recommendations / trusted items for this? What I have so far: Gaskets? Spring bolts? Should I be using an exhaust sealant instead of / in addition to replacing the gaskets?

Hi there, is the HICAS rear ball joint in theSkyline the same as the 300zx? the Skyline number is 55154-op800 the 300zx is logged at 55154- any tech help needed as I need 2! I’ve read Jeffs write up on how to replace the ball joint but what is the best way to get them out?

I have owned my H Reg 300ZX (Z32) since early 1991 but have driven it less and less over the last few years. It has clocked 83,000 miles and has failed its most recent MOT (Power steering inoperative; Front Power steering pipe/hose leaking/excessively corroded; Rear Oil leak, but not excessive; differential leaking oil; Front Oil leak, but not excessive pipes behind bumper; General corrosion showing under vehicle including suspension components). The exhaust system is also quite corroded as are the rear wheel arches. Interior condition is clean/good. What’s up guys, new member here. Just inherited my fathers 90 300zx NA, dumping money into it getting ready for spring. I live in Syracuse, NY so we gotta wait for the salt to wash away. One step away from a full wrap, hoping to get a little insight. Section between windshield and targa is questionable. Anyone run into this issue? How did we fix the issue? Don’t think it’s an interchangeable part. Please advise. Not sure how to upload pics.....

Looking to install a turbo timer once I finalize the purchase of my 300zx, wondering if anyone has any recommendations on which to fit as I have seen a few around. Is this something anyone has fit before and got any tips when I come to install it? Any recommendations would be appreciated

I am removing my plenum and swapping it our with a replacement one. Obviously I need the plenum gasket, and balance bar O rings but what other gaskets and other bits will I need? I assume the throttle bodies have gaskets? Are there any others for any of the other bits going on?

Help required? My Zed failed the MOT Failed on the front track rod end ball joints (both replaced) my problem is the MOT fail states track rod end ball joint has excessive play.Offside rear. is it this? Because I can’t find a rear track rod end! In the manual any advice welcome

Can anyone help I have a Z1 ECU chip with 740 injections and I want to run top feed injectors 1700cc ID and Z1 says they can’t make a chip for this but before I buy the stand alone ECU I want to make sure the car is running does anybody know where I could buy a chip to plug into to get the car to run.
