bought my car in sept 2003 from autotrader .co.uk did all the dealing with the guy over the phone seemed nice guy, agreed a price , got a bank draft, flew my son over to collect the car, everything ok so far the day before collection the seller rang me to say he had to leave the car in for some tuning as it wasnt running properly, and the bill was 200stg, i said i didnt have the extra money but when the car arrived i would talk to him about the extra money the car arrived here it was running fine but had a few things wrong that he had not mentioned, 2 cracked alloys, a tear in the leather panel on drivers door, and most important of all it was 1991 where as it was adv…

Just put this gearstick in my Zed. The name of it is Navan. The second a is back to front (if you know what i mean!!). Its got the Nissan logo on the front. Any ideas?

Hi All, I know I should have posted this in the Help and Advice section,but I am really desperate to get this sorted. As most know my car is up for sale, only now she has decided that she doesn't want to be sold :p . The auto box has decided that it no longer wants to change from 2nd to 3rd when I am tootling, but when you use the kick down it changes into 3rd without any hesitation!!! :confused: I'm hoping it's a speed sensor, and was just wondering if anyone else had this problem? Had a call from a very experienced Z mechanic this week that has been fighting an on going battle with Nissan. The car in question was a Jap import it was fitted with a new heater matrix and six months later it failed again Nissan refuse to replace this item as wait for it…………………………… It is fitted to an Import and not a UK car has any one else had this in the last few months?

200000 miles........ but not in the zed...its still on the drive. :rolleyes: But me trusty ol volvo 850 estate, no break downs. Only replaced the discs once - £200 Brake pads a few times, and a fuel relay once - £20. What a car..... Wish me zed was like that :x:

I know the Zed has 2 o2 sensors, one in each manifold, but !! If you have a V8 engine, fuel injected, and it has one 02 sensor fitted as standard, not on the manifold, but about 3 inches down on the downpipe, and the downpipe joins to a one single pipe just behind the g/box, and then nearer the rear, splits again to give you a twin rear exit. Would it matter to the sensor if you did away with the 2 down pipes joining and ran a dual system to the rear ?? Would that mean it would only measure one bank ?? Cant imagine there would be much pressure coming up from the other downpipe in the 1st place ?? All help much appreciated. Alan........
