General Discussions - Non 300ZX

My old phone contract came to an end back in April, and, as i didn't have a job, I thought that I'd go for Pay-As-You-Go............ well that was a big mistake, as my old contract was only £30 p/month and I put £40 in the first 3 weeks of having this PAYG one (old phone, new sim) So I shopped around for a good deal, and came across the vodaphone..... 125 mins, any network, any time and 250 text messages. but on an 18 month contract you have the new Stop The Clock... Which is Evenings and weekends you pay for the first 3 mins, and can stay on for an hour! Thats exactly what I want, and at only £20 p/month, was a great saving as well. Took the contract out, got the phone…

How come sometime when I look at new posts I see three pages of interesting stuff to go through, then 5 minutes later there are only 4 or 5 things in there. Then, just to confuse me more, if I go back 30 minutes later there are 3 pages of new things again? :headvswal How are new posts calculated?

It's rumored - emphasis on rumored - that Nissan may very well build a Z with the 4.5L VK45DE V8 and go racing. The Z has enjoyed GT success with the turbo VQ V6 but a production equivalent does not exist limiting their options for competition globally. Anyone got a close up picture of an alloy tax disk holder on their windscreen? I got a 'z' one from ebay and it uses little sticky pads to get it on the windscreen but I imagine that will leave the sticky pads visible so I'm just wondering what they should look like from the outside. Just looking at what OS to run on my incar pc. I was thinking windows 98/me just for speed of boot, but some of the software i wan to run wont run on less than windows 2000. The spec of the machine im looking at is around P3 750mhz 40gb hdd and 256 or 512mb ram s3 savage 8mb graphics Im planing on running datascan, some kind of satnav and mp3s/mp4s off the machine so what sort of boot time do you think id be looking at?

Was just browsing through the pics of my new motor (hopefully picking it up this week! :hyper: :nana2: ) and came across this one.... Now my speedo on the NA reads 180 and its been converted to MPH (theres a little black sticker over the K so it read mph) but this one appears to only go to 120. Does this mean it'll be limited? I'm pretty sure it would be otherwise the needle would go off the end of the scale. So does this mean i'm also going to get a little chiming as i go over 70 as a warning? Why would nissan fit a 120mph speedo to a 170 mph car??? I'm confuddled?!?! :confused:

Man ive been busy this weekend working on my cars lol . Installed New Brake Pads on wifes Xantia . Investigated suspension problem on wifes xantia bought new spheres and then broke strap wrench trying to remove old one DOH . Re installed my Snooper into my Zed, in a better position and connected it to ignition live and not constant live as before. . Installed new Speedo cluster onto my zed (yay now i have a working speedo) . Adjusted idle on zed (harder than it sounds as mine can only be done with the battery removed) . Grinded down the rear wheel arch on my ex police senator . Washed my zed and wifes xantia . Put my grey old senator on ebay Now im…

Went to a dyno day today with turboz at chip wizards in rochdale and have to say what a goos bunch of lads and good setup!Saw this beast in the corner had to get pict of it its powered by a "leyland 6r4 engine" :bow: awsome piece of kit about 400hp and weights about as much as a crisp bag.Engine was £30k second hand for a bloody metro engine :shock: lol

took mine out for the first time round a track 2day and all i have to say is ZOMG!!! bloody brillant laugh, sum lads were going full throttle out of bends with there knees right down if u are after another hobby that ant dear then u cant go wrong with mini motos, cost 20 quid for 7hours on the track lol they ROCK!! :D:D:D

Big thanks to Zen garage and a huge recomendation for supplying me with an O2 sensor. If you live in the south take it to these guys, I made the mistake of using Caffyns Eastbourne and had to wait 5 weeks to get my car back and even had to get the part they were waiting for myself. Also Nissan (Caffyns) charged £165 for the O2 sensor they managed to get. And what did Zen charge????? £65, and it was a genuine NIssan part! Anywayz, massive thanks again and me Z is now sold. Well its been over 3 years but I finally got a new Z I just got a 300zx na manual in black which is in not too bad of condition. I wounder who is still on here from when I used to visit the forum and go tothe events etc

Well, the engine was taken out of my Zed last week and was stripped today to rebuild. After stripping, have found the engine is way past repair. Supprised how it still ran as smoothly as it did as it's pretty much suffered catastraphic failure. 3 pistons had chunks missing out of them, the oil in the base of the sump was so full of swarf it gave it an almost metallic finish, also two valves had burnt out due to the chronic breathing issues. Bores are scored as well of course. Amazing really, those that know me know that I drive the thing like an old man, hardly ever drive it on boost and I rarely drive it full stop plus it had only done 50k.....and it ends …
