OK I have been taking my lad who is nine clay pigeon shooting. He has been as good as gold watching everyone, carrying the equipment and helping with the cleaning. With this in mind I have bought him a small single barrel 410 shotgun. second time out with it yesterday he hit 12 out of 20. I was telling a few people about this (proud parent :p ) and I got a few reactions I did not expect people thought I was a nutter for teaching him about guns and allowing him to shoot one at a early age. I was gobsmacked he is supervised at all times he is very responsible and I think it teaches him to mix with different people and about discipline. Surely better than ridi…

My sisters boyfriend just took me for a spin in his J reg Corolla. Nothing special I hear you all say. This particular corolla has the engine from a Levin GTZ in it, needless to say I nearly shat myself when he planted the loud pedal! To say that car is fast is an understatement, it's like being kicked in the back by a fooking horse! :wack:  :smash:

New(ish) film staring Steve Coogan.... Just watched this, quite amusing, good script and very well put together. No car chases, shootouts or people going around shouting "**** you!!!!" all the way through it ;) Alongside Steve is Rebecca Romijn.............. 'Plot: In the style of the "Thin Man" movies (Nick and Nora) of the late thirties, Ray is an ex-confidence man smart enough to leave the grift before the grift grifted him. Now Ray runs an alibi service for men and women who want to spend a little quality love time away from their, well…loved ones. A true cynic, Ray's business is booming until Wendell Hatch, the pampered son of Ray's biggest cl…

I've resisted buying a big, flat TV for ages - my TV is almost 20 years old and has been fine but it's starting to have problems now. I was in Tesco yesterday and they had LG 42" LCD TVs for £799. I guess that's a good price? What are the things I should be checking? Brightness? Resolution? Any ideas? I know some of you are well clued up on this sort of thing.

I'm struggling at getting IT contracts at the moment and looking for another qualification. I'm fancying moving into more project management work so considering doing PRINCE2 but I may be better doing ITIL as it's more relevant to what I currently do. Any recommendations? Does anybody have the coursework knocking about that they don't need anymore as I'm broke...

After years of fiddling around with guitar stuff I'm finally going into a studio in two weeks to start work on a 5 track demo. I'm currently pulling everything together very roughly using Cubase to give the engineer an idea of where I'm going. Up till now I've been using the sparse but functional drum loops that come with the Zoom G2.1u unit I've got. I also have a copy of Reason (cheers again Si if you're reading this...the CD's for you and Vini are finally being sent off tomorrow, apologies for the delay, been a bit under the weather recently and haven't been able to get out of the house to send them off :( ) so I could program what I need in but it seems a …

Chapter One It was a bright and breezy morning in May and just one week until the big historic re-enactment on the river. John was ever so excited, he had re-painted his punt and Janet was hard at work on his wonderful costume. “John,” said Janet, “there are a few things I need you to buy for me so that I can finish off your costume. Would you go to the haberdashery for me?” “Yes of course I will.” said John, “That’s the little shop owned by Mrs Briskett isn’t it?” “Well, she’s Mrs Douglas now,” said Janet, “she can only be in her late 30s, but she’s already been widowed twice and has just got married again. Funny how all her husbands have been much ol…
