My mate has organised this sponsored walk pretty much all by himself (he's even walked it twice already so he knows where he's going. Anyway he asked me to do it but its next week so I've got a week to get some sponsor money. So if anyone would like to sponsor me that would be most excellent. It's definately for a worthy cause. you can find out more here http://www.footballcomp.co.uk Post your name, a bit of your address (town will probably do for now) and the amount. Also say how you'd like to pay (paypal, check, money in an envelope etc) and I'll pm you details. Thanks a lot guys, Al

Can't quite believe it :D I have hardly used the banana in the last prob almost 6mths partly due to the winter but mainly because I've developed smoking on idle. I wasn't really expecting anything bad as the engine was a new build beginning of last year but its still a bit worrying. It looked like turbo issues as it was unburnt (greyish) oil type smoking but the turbo is nearly new so I couldn't understand it. Work and life stresses have been the order of the day for a while and I've not had time or inclination to mess about with the car apart from giving it a wizz every so often to keep it sweet and see if the smoke miracuously dissapeared!:) We are moving to a new r…

Have been round the pub over the last few days and have now got all of the regulars and all of my staff to sponsor me, and so far have raised £150.00. but now i'm at a loss to sponosrship, i need to raise a minimum of £375 before i can do the jump, but would like to r…

A 78 year old woman wrote this to her bank. The bank manager thought it amusing enough to have it published in the New York Times. Dear Sir, I am writing to thank you for bouncing my cheque with which I endeavoured to pay my plumber last month. By my calculations, three 'nanoseconds' must have elapsed between his presenting the cheque and the arrival in my account of the funds needed to honour it. I refer, of course, to the automatic monthly deposit of my Pension, an arrangement which, I admit, has been in place for only eight years. You are to be commended for seizing that brief window of opportunity, and also for debiting my…

I could hardly believe my ears today when it was stated on the news that the UK Olympics are to cost NINE POINT TWO THOUSAND MILLION POUNDS, FOUR TIMES THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE OF £2.4 BILLION. And we all know that by 2012, the actual total will be much, much more. Where on earth can all this money be going? Whilst many big wigs and politicians are probably getting massive back handers out of the Games, in my opinion this level of blatant overspending is utterly obscene. Think about it.......a million pounds is an aweful lot of money.....a thousand times that is almost unimaginable.......but nine point two times even that huge amount is absolutely scandalous. And a…

My PC crashed and died about Christmas time but we managed to recover most of my data before I binned the harddrive. The problem I've got is that some of the jpeg pictures are damaged and won't open even though some show up fine as thumbnails. It just says 'drawing failed' so I can't even view it to try and crop the damaged edges. Can anyone help please? they'll be a nice :duffer: in it for someone ;)

Watched this last night WOW what a film if you like the likes of gladiator then you will love this film, fantastic music, fight scenes and the filming of it was amazing, great effects. All i woul say is i watched it on my pc and its really a film that must be seen on a big screen to get the full effect and sound. Think it comes out at the cinema next weekend so go and see it ;) http://300themovie.warnerbros.com/ Mike

People often fit the twin turbo engine to convertible 300ZXs as the factory ones were all NAs. Can anyone think of other versions of other Japanese cars where people often put in a different engine which wasn't a factory option? Thanks in advance people!

Anyone ever built a chassis to their own design, and built a car from the ground up? Just mucking about Im toying with the idea of geting a manwel zed thats been rear ended and ripping it apart and building my own kitcar. Doesn't have to be road leagal. would be my own chassis design and body style. Would be mid engined and the chassis a cross between gt40 and diablo. Inside would put a Zed dash and not sure how the outside would look (sh1t most likely :D ). What are your thoughts???
