Years ago when a secondhand vehicle was shipped to UK and registered, it had the letter of the year it was reistered here and was not put on age related plate. IE- a 1957 vehicle bought in from USA in 1981 would go on an X reg, but in the log book it would state in a seperate section ''previously reistered and/or used overseas, but declared manufactured 1957''. What I need to know is, would the, seat belts and all the stuff a 57 vehicle would be exempt from on an MOT still apply to those vehicles? or would the declared date have to be proved first, then put on an age related plate before getting the early vehicle exempt privileges?

I was due to do Arizona last year, but ended up staying in Southern California. Always wanted to go. I'm back in SoCal in August/September and wanting to head inland, probably from San Diego driving through the California desert (Sonoran Desert) along the Colorado river into Yuma, the hottest city in the US. Either that, or fly South West Airlines to Phoenix or something. $99 return from San Diego or L.A. so not bad. Can't decide what to do. I want a bit more of a road trip than simply driving through Orange County from LA, to San Diego and then back up to Santa Barbara. Desert wilderness has always fascinated me. If I had the time, I'd head up to Superior …

I pulled an older woman at a club last night. She was a right sort for 57, we drank a bit, had a bit of a snog & she asked if I'd ever had the sportsman?s double, a mother and daughter 3 some? I said no. We drank a bit more, then she says that tonight was my lucky night. I went back to her place. She put the hall light on & and shouted upstairs: "Mum you still awake?"

taken from elsewhere on the web....maybe a re-post but i cant recall these "I started to turn and it was at this point I noticed a camel and an elephant tethered at the verge. This distraction caused me to lose concentration and hit a bollard." "I was going at about 70 or 80 mph when my girlfriend on the pillion reached over and grabbed my testicles so I lost control. "I didn't think the speed limit applied after midnight" "I collided with a stationary truck coming the other way" "A pedestrian hit me and went under my car." "In an attempt to kill a fly, I drove into a telephone pole." "An invisible …

I had some trellis put on top of my fence today. A bloke who lives nearby just came over to complain. He doesn't like the fact the wooden batons that hold the trellis in place are on the outside of the fence. The other side of my fence goes onto a shared parking area (not mine - for his and a few other houses). Any idea if I need to take the trellis down / move the batons to inside the fence? They'd be much harder to put up inside as all the posts/struts etc of the fence are on the inside.
