Well its been a funny old spell of weather lately. But what with it being wet and then dry and hot etc. etc...........Theres me sitting in my (workshop) Shed. and i could hear the crackle of a fire. My mate next door is always burning something. Anyway my wife calls me and casually says Vince the shed is on fire. I thought she meant the one I was in? I rushed out and it was the other shed. Fookin hell it was blazing. It couldnt have been burning for more than a minute as thats when I heard the crackles. We was running around like headless chickens then I got the hose and fought it like a true hero. Lucky another minute or so and it would have been a total disaster. It se…

Just booked the sat/sun for european drag finals in september, camping overnight with my lad. Never been before, is it worth getting seats in the grandstand ? or is it easy enough to get a decent view from anywhere along the strip ? Anyone else going ?

Well after the post I read yesterday I've had Mr R. Sole and his sons Rick Sole, Rob Sole, Richard Sole, Ryan Sole on my drives today. I don't know if anyone else experiencies this sort of situation..... I've had two Granada Cossies and one Scorpio Cossie before Getting my beautiful ZX. Now, in the Cossies I wasn't cut up or raced, perhaps because they look fairly discrete for what they are.... But in my Zed... it's like being on the bloody dodgems. You get cut up, tailgated, people trying to burn you off at lights, people trying to drive ouside you or inside you at roundabouts, people on the motorway knowing you don't want your car scraped so get outa MY w…

Anyone go to Celebration Europe yesterday at the Excell centre? I was there from about 8.00am queueing up for the maddest Star Wars event of the year. Got loads of cool stuff and got to meet plenty of famous/semi famous people; Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Ian McDiarmid, Peter Mayhew, Jeremy Bulloch, Ray Park, Warwick Davis, Kenny Baker and the 501st etc. Mad, mad day. To end it off, last night at about 7pm they had Mark Hamill and Ian McDiarmid introduce a screening of the Star Wars film outside the Excell Centre on a big screen. Good job it wasn't raining. On the other hand, if you've got no idea what i'm talking about and have never heard of Star Wars…

Today I had an email that put a smile on my face from ear to ear. Its official. Gordon Brown will be making EVERY SCHOOL in the country partake in competetive sports. For 15 years I have been going into schools and having to teach sport in a way that had emphasis on trying hard, and not competing. There is a bloody difference people and its why we are SHEET at sports. ITS ABOUT BLOODY TIME. Now get out tehre and get you kids involved in organised sport. I even get to sack 3 "non-competetive" organisers on monday. GET FOOKING IN THERE teh limp wristed, Politicaly correct asswipes. Today I congratulated a kid for trying to win within …

I have had sky for about 2 years now and having been consdiering canceling it as i always miss stuff A mate at work says ring them and say you want to cancel as your not around in the evenings. They will offer a sky plus box for 50 quid (normally 130), tell them its too expensive and they will offer one for free. Just rang them and got mine coming next week :) Yeah im tied in for another 12 months but the mrs would go mad at me if she lost her living tv anyways!
