If anyone is thinking of buying a personal number plate then avoid British Car Registrations at all costs. They lie about transfer fees (i.e a car-to-car transfer costs £80 and is clearly stated on the DVLA Transfer Form yet they still charge £105) and when they don't send number plates (another thing you get roped into buying) they don't give refunds even though they are in the wrong for not supplying them. Be warned.

I'm staring to have trouble gtettingher to fire up. The starter motor just spins and spins. It may take up to 10 attempts to get her to start Any recommendations where to look first? May be a considence, but the radiaio no longer seems to pick up a decent signal (signal booster failure??). Could it be a probelm with part of the wiring loom?

Any Vista specialists out there? Im trying to install Vista onto my pc, the hard disk was wiped clean (using fdisk). I boot up from the Vista installation disk, it displays "windows is loading files" and a white progress bar across the screen. Then the next screen has a small green progress bar with Microsoft Corporation below it, then goes to a blank screen and all activity stops. Thanks Barry

Well more the fixing of them. When my bike got nicked a few months bike they smashed the ignition. i am trying to get it running again just using a simple enough on/off switch. I got all the lights etc working pretty much from just connecting the switch to the correct holes in the plug, also it tries to start but just coughs alot. However there are another 4 holes which were connected to the ignition. does any one know what these are for? The bike is a cagiva planet 125

Just thought I would let you know. I have always used scan for my pc bits and bobs, mainly because they are cheap but they have a good reputation for customer care. I purchased a pair of Nvidia SLI 8800GT's from them on the recomendation from their tech department. They arrived and I spent the next 5 hours trying to get them to work, nothing. I thought Mmm maybe I need more power to run them, so off I trotted to PC world as I wasnt about to wait 2 days for one to be mailed and forked out another £100. Installed it.... nothing. So I checked the cards individualy and yep neither wanted to know, so phoned up customer care, spend 40 minutes on hold and got told…

  15. Hi, As my car is now officially off the road until I can get the engine rebuild I have bought a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd - nice 4 liter yank tank! Took delivery of it today and all was well until I drove around the block (as you do). Car cut out and I only barely managed to come to a halt around the corner from a very busy main road. I was told by the vendor that the imobiliser has a mind of its own and would occassionally cut in and shut the car down. He was going to have it fixed next week (which he still is going to do) but dropped the car off today so I could have it for the weekend. He showed me a trick whereby you remove the ignition circuit fuse, lock-unlo…

Awesome film    Ridley Scott's vision and direction is second to none. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of iconic sci-fi masterpiece Blade Runner, the 5-Disc Ultimate Collectors' Edition is the definitive Blade Runner collection. Packaged in a lenticular collectible tin with art cards and even a letter from director Ridley Scott, the Collectors' Edition brings together for the first time all five versions of the film, including Blade Runner: The Final Cut, which saw Ridley Scott go back into post production to create the long-awaited definitive version of the classic film. :duffer: I can't wait to get my hands on it :D I think I…

Ive just had to listen to them going on about these "new control" knickers and some blong bitch getting in a lather about how wonderfull tehy are. My missus just "has" to go and get some now as its an awsome idea. Her mates are all yapping about them. All because they are in fassion. My argument is this, if they had been shown to said same women 2 years ago at teh same time, i put money on it they wouldnt be intrested because not one star wears them. I told Tracey if she wears them shes sleeping in teh spare room, end of. This is my idea of what women should wear. That would control my pants
