As title - has anyone had any experience of them? I'm thinking of replacing Julia's Rav - it would be the TD4, I'd rather it was an auto, 2011 onwards....... Preferably high spec (HSE?), with leather, nav etc. Thanks! Richard:cool:

Following on from Gary's post here's a few pictures of what I've collected over the years. Just got a new display cabinet so only putting the good stuff in there, mostly 1:18 Jap model cars. Still havnt got the new wheels for my 240z. Ive got more models in the loft as the cabinet doesn't hold as much as I thought it would.

Ladies & Gents, As im only a fair weather Zedder, by that I mean my zed is only taxed 6months of the year, and I only take it out on sunny weekends, its fair to say that im not on here very often, Before I bought my other toys it was my daily drive and I was on here very often, It is with great pleasure that I would like to say thank you to all on the forum for keeping my zed alive from all the invaluable help here, without this forum I would surely be zeddless So may I take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry xmas and a very happy new year, maybe see some of you at some meetings kind regards Dewi

Thought I'd ask on here before ringing my insurance as I know a few members have owned them before. As the title states, does anyone know if these cars are insurable on a classic policy? I only ask a I need something with a bit more space than my zed but also want something a bit fun as well. The only issue I've got is that I've been on a classic policy for so long as my daily drive that my ncb has all expired so even shitty modern cars cost a fortune to insure. Any help or advice would be great fully received.

Well, the Leon FR is getting old and the mileage is creeping up! So I've decided to get it replaced. Ideally wanted something larger (under a year old with about 10,000 on it), still kinda sporty looking, but more comfy with far superior better equipment. Budget wasn't massive as I've just moved house. I have a friend who owns a Vauxhall dealership and, despite swearing I'd never have another, I've just put a deposit on an Insignia SRi VX-Line Nav. It's a very different car to the Leon, but it has surprisingly good handling. I had wanted an A4, but their residuals are soooo high. They'll retain more, but I got this top-spec Insignia for a really good price. I was nev…

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to get out of my mx5 due to my mobility problems :-( so I'm thinking about selling him and getting something a bit more sensible and not so low, probably an auto. Not many Japanese hot hatches out there so might try something different. Don't want French or a ford.Narrowed it down to polo gti, Ibiza cupra or maybe a skoda fabia vrs. About 3 years old. Anyone had any experience of any of these ? And if anybody is interested in an immaculate 05 mx5 let me know!!

Evening chaps, not sure who remembers a few months ago I bought an E63 650i which had some piss poor standard 18" wheels. So I acquired some "standard" 19" sport wheels had them refurbished with some new center caps and the results are below. Really transforms the look of the car and as I've got rid of the old run flats it also handles much better with a crisp turn in and allot more communication through the front end. Before shot And with the new wheels

As title says, I was stupid enough to give a member of the lycra-wearing Taliban an excuse to lecture me on my poor driving this morning..... It was around 7.15am, dark and wet, as I approached a main road; looking to go straight ahead into the side road opposite. Then, seizing the opportunity of a clear break in the traffic to my right, I dared to move forward across the first half of the road.... Only to have a chap on a bicycle, whom I failed to spot, stop inches short of my driver's door. Said chappie then launched into a tirade of verbal abuse - "Why don't I look where I'm f***ing going....?" "F***ing Mercedes drivers....!" "Do you own the f***ing road....?" etc…

In my Seat Leon I have a cigarette lighter socket in the boot which I have plugged a usb converter into, then run a 3m USB extension through the car and plugged a 4 port USB splitter into that to charge multiple devices. When I plug my Tom Tom into the splitter it thinks I'm connecting it to a computer. If I plug directly into the USB extension cable it doesn't, it just charges. My question is, is there any way I can stop it thinking it's connecting to a computer? I took the splitter apart and found there's 4 wires running into it. I'm presuming 2 are for power and 2 for data transfer? Can I cut the data transfer wires just leaving the charge, or is there a bett…
