General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Have just read in Classic Car Weekly that DVLA have proposals in hand to allow 'numbers' to spell out names . the example given is that one could buy from DVLA 'JAMES' rather than having to make do with the closest i.e J 4 MES. Does anyone have more info on this, and what do we think the impact of this would be on the value of current 'personal' numbers?? BTW do you remember the days when DVLA did all within their powers to discourage this 'industry'?

Iv'e been in toulouse for the last 2 weeks but when i left i got accosted by a bloke doing a survey at bristol airpost. Just found out i won the top prize of a holiday for 2 adults and 2 children to lapland but a cash alternative of 3K whos a happy boy then :D:D:D p.s funky si your dvd is on order

Have been offered a swop for the zed. A white GT Four. Was wondering what you guys thought about it? My friend has one and really all i now is that its as quick as a zed and you get some grip on the road at speeds round corner with its 4wd.

Ok as title any experts on this subject? I purchased a set ( pair ) of web cameras with software etc and loaded mine up, did all the messenger account bit etc and then sent the other camera and software to my Daughter in Cyprus. She well her hubby has set it up and tonight we had the big test, after some initial problems we got connected to each other, the instant messaging is working, the audio is working both ways and we can see our own camera image ( small version at bottom of page ) and see my daughter camera image just fine. However they can see their own camera image but not ours:confused: we have gone through the install, camera set up, downloads, reboot…

My Dodge Ram has just went through its SVA test for use in Britian and as such it got a cheapo fog light and a reverse light stuck on the back to keep it legal. Aint worried about the fog as I can relocate them to the rear cluster, but had to use the reverse lamp for the indicators. Any advice or companies that do discreet white lights ? A LED strip could be squeezed in somewhere I reckon ? Any ideas guys ?? Alan............

my mrs got me one of the M&S Angus steak with stilton pies with butter pastry from the M&S advert. Was £2.99 and was expecting to be disappointed. If I'd have paid £15 in a restaruant for this pie I'd still be happy. Not a great fan of pies but by far the best pie I have ever tasted absolutley awsome. Makes clarkes or pukka pies taste boring.

Went to Southport today to meet member 'zx-eyes' so he could take me for a spin in his 300zx. I'm looking into buying one some time in the not too distant future (when I've saved a bit of money). Quality guy and a nice 300zx. Got to say, I was very impressed with the car. Gripped well, and picked up well, even though it was only running 'safety boost'. I now want one ten times more than originally :D
