Was stopped at the traffic lights last night when all of a sudden the car shook and smoke began to rise out from under the bonnet. I switched the engine off, opened the bonnet only to find an injector on my 6cyl Mercedes S320cdi had shot 6" out the top of the engine. Firstly, what can cause this to happen? And what work is involved in having it repaired as it was recovered back to Mercedes main dealer at 4am this morning & am begining to get fed of spending money there. Thanks guys, Dan

Hi fellas. I'm after a bit of a favour here. Basically myself and someone else has been ripped off by some e-bay seller. I remembered seeing that he was selling this car, which was his own, and I've managed to find the closed listing on e-bay after some effort. He lives in Bishop Auckland, Durham, but I wondered if someone might know where these pictures were taken. I was suspicious of his low feedback, but got my partner (with another ebay user ID) to get his landline number before bidding. The problem is that he's always "out." Ebay only gives me limited information. The registration number is also useful, because it didn't sell and is his own car, …

Over the last few months, my laptop has almost ground to a halt. Takes ages to refresh and loads pages on the browser and general applications seem slow and the browser keeps hanging. It is/was a fast laptop. It's running Windows Vista. What can I do to remove unwanted processes? I don't know what half of them do. Not entirely sure what's going on. CPU useage is pretty high. I've deleted all history/cookie files. Any ideas on what I can do?

So we now have to beg the EU to keep pints and MPH FFS. This place is a fooking joke:- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7786861.stm "An agreement has been reached with the EU to allow Britain to keep measuring its roads in miles and serving beer in pints."

Hi All, I am running windows vista ultimate and it is slow as hell. I have two performance meters on the desktop and they are running at 50 % with absolutely nothing running. I know vista is ram heavy but this is a joke. I have 2 meg of ram and I cannot watch videos for more than 10 secs before it freezes and takes an age to catch up. Switching between pages takes an age. Is there any processes I can halt to help?. This computer is about 10 months old. Cheers.

Thinking about getting a graphics tablet as I do a LOT of work on Photoshop (both touching up photos, more intense graphic design work and also full on arty farty nonsense for my art practice). Absolutely clueless about them so grabbed half an hour this evening looking up the subject. Came to a few conclusions: 1. Wacom appears to be a good name to go for. 2. You can get a combined Tablet/mouse affair if you want 3. Bigger is not necessarily better ie the bigger the tablet screen the more you have to move your arm. I "think" a 6x8 would be about right for me but the price of the Intuos3 nearly knocked me for 6. I was wondering if anyone had any experien…

OK, Before we go any further, the link I am putting up is graphic !! Its not voyeuristic, its a real life true account. What happens when you are a rally driver, or the Navigator and you have a sudden stop impact at 60mph ??? You are shook up, dazed, but in all probability, relatively ok ! What happens when you have left your six point restraining harnes a wee bit loose cause it was uncomfortable ?? Dont open if squeamish !! You have been warned so dont open it and then start bleating on about it !:slap: http://briskoda.net/motorsport-discussion/h-s-caution-multipoint-harnesses-warning-explicit-gruseome-pics/129912/ Alan........…

What a day I have had with my Z ! It started at 7am on my way to the station, the stearing and braking felt really ropey. pulled into a petrol station to find the fron drivers tyre bearly flat. Went to pump the tyre and the air hose promptly released what little air was left and wouldnt put any more in. Complained to the girl behind the counter who said it wasn't her problem... As I had to be at work on time stupidly drove the mile to the station with the intention of changing the wheel when I got back. As I thought it would be a fair chance the spare would be flat, I asked the wife to drop off the foot pump in the car for me during the day. Came …
