My mate has crashed his car and its got loads of bits on it, the insurance company have said they will be collecting the car on monday and taking it away, never to be seen again. How does my mate stand with removing items that he's fitted, i.e bucket seats, stereo etc? His dad is telling him that he has to leave absolutely everything in it but surely thats not the case, can someone please help? And how would he go about buying the car back off the insurance? woul that be a possibility?

just after a quick idea of costs involved when fitting a bathroom. Wanting to fit new toilet with one of those hidden cisterns move the sink from one wall to another so its 90 degrees from where it is now. move the bath 1 metre so its further away from the outside wall. rough (very rough) idea :)

Is this right? Changing insurers anyway next month, but notified my current insurer that I'd moved house. They now tell me I have to pay an admin charge of £15. Nothing to do with the premium. Is this right? Never encountered it before. Seems like daylight robbery.

got some of this today and is absolutley awsome(especially as mines black and shows up every friggin mark) Removes swirl marks and holograms so it says on the lablel and yes indeed it does. Even quite deep ones and small scratches if you are persistant :) Had what looks like laquer damage on the bonnet and gave it a good 20 min session by hand and now is hardly visable. It's not cheap and you need to use quite a bit but then again it works and works well so a big thumbs up for this product.

I recently bought myself an iPod so I can have a very wide range of music playing while driving (as I do a fair bit of driving around these days) So for my daily driver (Rover 220 SDi) I have an OEM radio/cassette head unit, so I simply bought a £1.99 cassette adaptor for that, which works great and has the iPod on a bracket mounted from a suctioncup on the windscreen - nice and simple, but basic! Now I would like something a little bit more intergrated for Eliza (once she is back on the road) so I've been looking at what is available on the market and have come across one of these...... It's a Harman Kardon Drive + Play. A friend of mine has got one in …

as header Can bitumous paint be overpainted? I am gonna use this paint to seal a problem wall in my garage. Thing is its black and need more light in there as it is. Are there any paints available (obviously not water based ones) ideally in white that can be used over the top of bitumen paint? This will be a large area no needs to be cost effective too. cheers

I got rid of the Jag. Lovely car very powerful and comfortable but in a word not very usable. The drive was too controlled if that makes sense? So I sold it then searched the net for a more practicle car. I wanted power, I wanted comfort and I wanted it to be a good family car. I also wanted manual and I wanted it to be modern / late with good looks and a bit of street cred. :D:dance: So what do you think I came up with? I was looking at spending £5000. or as near as. ................................................................ I have had it for just over 6 weeks now and I have found it to be everything I could want from the above list…

I dont normally post up about unimportant things that ive done, after all stella is the king of that :D ( sorry al) Went to chessington world of adventure today, took the boys and have to say really enjoyed it. Weather held off well, only a couple of light showers ended up with a zed full of cuddly toys :D The zoo and the sea life centre add another dimension to just thrill rides, although mostly for the younger kids it was a fun day, apart from queing ( i hate queing) Probably do Legoland on the next trip, well worth a visit for anyone who hasnt been yet. Cheers Graham
