General Discussions - Non 300ZX

The other night my dad had to brake hard in his 2004 Mercedes S320cdi, as he did both our seat belts tightened up to hold us into the seat, once he had stopped, and went to drive away the belts loosened and all was fine again. Is this a belt pretensioner? Because, I always thought a belt pretensioner was the device that stopped it snatching forward if you pull on it hard... Thanks, Dan

A good friend of mine is looking at selling his Supra, but isn't sure how much he should be asking. it's K Reg, pretty much standard with after market wheels, and in very good condition. it has No Faults and drives like a dream. Not sure what the Mileage is etc. Any Idea's what he should be asking? It looks very similar to this one......

Just re-started doing door work as i cannot find a job at the mo. I have come across a real problem which is legal highs, roll on some of these really mess people up. Dont let you kids come in contact with stuff they are bad news. People look more messed up on this stuff than illegal gear.

I know Mitsubishi had always used to use the same bodyshell for the Evolution cars, but is this still true for the current Evos does anybody know? They all seem to be extremely different from normal Lancers but find it difficult to understand why they would use a different shell for a car still called a Lancer... cheers guys, Dan

Ordered a new Passat, waiting for confirmation, but just thought I'd check out the MK6 Astra which has just been launched. Now I priced one of these up on Vauxhall website to see what a middle-spec model would cost with the smaller of the 2 diesel engines. So that's an Astra 'SE' 1.7 diesel with metallic paint. Run of the mill, pretty mundane looking, mid-spec. Guess how much list price is on this car...... Over 21,000!! 21k for an average spec diesel Astra! Where do these prices come from!?! You can get a new VW Scirocco for that, or even a Passa…

if you get flashed once maybe twice? what can be the outcome?

Two months ago bought Lexmark printer,scanner, & fax including black & colour ink cartridges for £52 from PC world. Need new cartirdges now- cost for 2 is £40!! How can that be? Am thinking about buying a second machine at £52 including the inks so at least I have a back-up if the first one packs up! Is there a market for brand-new machines with no ink!!??

I posted once before about my `puter not starting up straighforwardly ( That`s still the case : black screen and mumbo-jumbo) Now the fooker won`t close down either . 99% of times I get a small window saying : " This program is not responding . " ( Click to close ) The program is SMax4PNP apparently something to do with sound . Anybody else had this ? Anyone fixed it ? Thanks , peeps .

To those in the know I've lost the remote for my LG TV, I've had a look on ebay and there are alot of remote's that look identical to the one I lost but it says there for oth TV's. Do they all use the same frequency?? Or will I have to find the exact one? Cheer

Hi, just came online and noticed an extremely racist remark which I take great offence to and think it should be removed and not just thread closed so its still seen ..... "Bet you wouldn't get a 'Mohammed' or Pole talking to you or your mum like that..... they tend to be better brought up that your typical Brit......" By 780z I also believe he should be given a formal warning as I am sure I would be if I turn it round to say typical Brits are brought up better than Poles and Mohammeds !!!! Guys, let's call it a day as we're not exactly getting anywhere and the debate is evolving dangerously. I'm sure there are other sites for these debates, full of like minded individuals, and all going no where.
