Hi Guys. Father in law passed away this morning, pneumonia, etc . he was ill for a while, was in Addenbrokes Hospital for a week and gently slipped away. not unexpected. (he's been on 100% oxygen for 3 days) Here is my question. He had a pension which stops, and also had a few credit cards with outstanding money owing. Now i've read up on the fact the debt doesn't die with him, but also it doesn't transfer to his wife, or us...After the funeral expenses are paid for, what ever is left in his estate is dished out. Problem is he owns (not sure if joint) his house where his wife, my mother in law lives to. He left a will giving all his assets etc to his wife. …

Hi, Got a leak on my Mums Potterton Performa 30HE boiler and wondered if anyone can help me with part I need to change. The leak is between the diverter manifold and the hot water pressure differential valve. On the diagram, there are two grub screws, it's leaking from one of the other 2 holes that are there. I changed the diapraghm and the rubber seal on the hot water pressure differential valve about a month ago and the in spares packet was a very small O ring. I enquired what that was for and the supplier told me I didn't need to use it. Could that be the part that is now leaking? I've also attached 2 pictures of the leak (click for larger pics) …

Just wanted to have a bit of a vent after a recent encounter with some arrogant p**ck on ebay who thought he was being clever In a nut shell, I've been looking for an ex military RIB (boat) to use as part of a new business venture and I found one for sale on ebay up for £10,000. Now £10,000 is quite steep for what is effectively a 20+ year old boat that looks slightly worse for wear, though not a ludicrously high price as there's always scope for barter anyway, I asked a few questions and was waiting on some more detailed pics, in the meantime the listing ended and unfortunately had recieved no pics I carried on searching and recently noticed that …

Knotty problem on an install for one of my dealers' customers. It's for a temporary install at an event which is only on for a few days. The diagnosis of the issue should have been simple but wasn't. My support boys didn't spot it, neither did the dealer. To solve this, I need to get up at 5am and drive for a couple of hours to the south coast to get people out of a hole of their own making which should, if the checklist had been followed, have been fixed yesterday. Because it's a dealer sale, we're making peanuts and it's not our responsibility. The normal fix is to send out a new unit which would get there after the event and the daler doesn't want to come and get…

I think buying another Zed at the moment is out of the question. Not many manual LWB n/a's around and those that are, are out of my budget. So back to the original plan to wait til after uni and get myself a SWB manual TT. Been looking around at various cars this weekend. Test drove a Lexus IS200 yesterday - what a lovely drive! But the car had some issues, nothing major though - but the biggest one was the asking price - advertised at £1395 by a private seller who then told me, after I'd traipsed to his house, and driven the car, that he actually wants £1600 for the car it was just that he'd had no interest in it priced like that online :cursing::confused1::scared: T…

Hi fountains of knowlege :thumbup1: I want to buy a petrol generator for my motorhome but there's just too many to choose from! Can anyone recommend a good make that is about 3KVA. I can see on ebay etc. there are some dodgy looking japanese affairs but I want reliability. Can someone also tell me if you need to mix oil in the petrol for these? Oh and while I'm on I need a portable satellite system as well! Any recommends. Cheers. CT.
