At the moment its been one of those weeks that seem like a bad dream! :( Havent had the chance to drive the Zed for a couple of weeks, but got the chance last night. Took her out for a long blast down the A2 after warming her up though Shooters Hill and Welling, shoot down to the Bluewater turn off and come back the other way down the A2, go down to the Dome as they have some nice empty industrial roads to do some acceleration and braking tests (she was hesitating on full throttle from 80 down the A2). Did some short 0-40 tests on the empty road then had to do a 3 point turn to get back, on turning I missjudged the length of the Zed and height of the kerb (been drivi…

... fvcking everywhere, common as muck. Plus they look like a new VW Beetle squashed into the floor. I love my Zed cos I feel unique driving and owning it, not like all those bl0ody sheep around. Is is just me or if I was looking to buy a brand new sports coupe, there's nothing I really like at the moment? Pete

Introduction In a recent court case Phillip Dennis escaped conviction for a speeding offence detected by camera because he had not signed the form identifying the driver. Section 172 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 requires the owner of a vehicle involved in certain traffic offences to identify the driver at the time or face a penalty. However, it appears that Mr Dennis identified himself as driver at the time, but failed to sign the form. Because the form was not signed it was inadmissible as evidence. The court could not legally identify the driver and Mr Dennis was found not guilty. The case was recently heard by Flintshire Magistrates at Mold in Nort…

As part of an ongoing mass reduction project, I am considering cling film as a replacement for OEM glass in the windows. As you know, OEM glass is expensive and heavy, so there a cost as well as a mass saving ! What do you ppl think ?

Stupid bl**dy phone.. Anyway - it crashed the other day while reading a text message, appears to have corrupted the SIM (it doesn't work in another phone now), and now refuses to turn back on.. So far I've tried leaving it with no battery in for 24hrs or so, and then putting the battery in and turning it on, but no joy - the screen powers up, but it never actually boots, and all you can do is pull the battery out again. Anyone know if there's a way to hard-reset these phones when they're in this state? or of any Nokia forums? Failing that I'll have to try and get in touch with Phones4u, or Nokia  Oh yeah - and for anyone who has my numb…

Since having my zed ive always thought the MPG was pretty average 18 to 25 ish not great but its a 3 litre with two turbos so what do you expect. Recently got new job, only 2 or 3 miles from home so the zeds bareley warm by the end of the run, also cold weather not helping to make it warm up, also leaving the turbo timer on 60 secs min and being lazy when theres ice on the car by letting it run till the heaters melt it. So put 40 quid in last thursday and have got a gutting 190kms out of it, at 78.9ppl (optimax aswell!!!) by my maths thats 10.72mpg. Wouldnt mind if it wasnt running right but apart from a slight blow on the exhaust, its sweet. Having s…

The other day I was cruising along as usual coming onto one of my motorways, which was very busy with inferior cars. First off, I couldn't believe that the volume of traffic DIDN'T slow down for me AT ALL as I came off the slip road! I had to squeeze into a barely big enough gap between two cars in order to get onto my motorway! (The driver of the car behind me did realise his mistake though and honked an apology to me with a long blast of his horn.) Unbelievably, I had to do the same again before I could get to the BMW lane. Anyway, once I was in the BMW lane and posing along at 110mph enjoying the adulation that the inferior car drivers wer…
