I knew the lad real well also his Father John. a sad and tragic loss:( In the Commons, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the six dead men, from 156 Provost Company, based in Colchester, which is attached to 16 Air Assault Brigade, adding that they were doing an "extraordinary and heroic job". The MoD named the dead soldiers as Sergeant Simon Alexander Hamilton-Jewell, 41, from Chessington, Surrey, Corporal Russell Aston, 30, from Swadlincote, Derbyshire, Corporal Paul Graham Long, 24, from Colchester, Corporal Simon Miller, 21, from Tyne and Wear, Lance Corporal Benjamin John McGowan Hyde, 23, from Northallerton, North Yorkshire…

Finally sold her for £4k. I felt very strange watching her being driven up the road. Its like saying goodbye to your first love. Anyway as they say '..better to have loved and lost than not at all...' As I don't really post much on here, I dont know many on here but would like to thank all of those who have replied to my crazy threads and answered my stupid questions and to everyone else keep zedding and enjoy your motor whilst you can. I've certainly enjoyed mine but now have to put up with door-door luxury of my Jeep. Anyway thats another debt cleared until I hit N.Z. then I'll be looking for something a bit 'special' down under. Cheers Tony

ok i did a longish motorway run at the week end 140 miles constant 70-80 with a few blasts here n there, then done 60 miles going to work 10 miles either way, and the 40 quid i put in is gone, running on fumes on the way home tonight, with my calculations at 71 p a lire that works out at 16 mpg surely a long run it should do more than 200 miles to 40 quid. i know mpg threads have been done to death but is this right.

Big thanks to Tony C - that guy is a polish/chamois/valet/sponge/etc genius!! Some unthoughtful sparrow or something bombarded my zed with cack the other day and I (like the muppet I am ;) ) made a mess of ..ahem... "removing" said poo. Tony applied his paint restoring wizardry, and now my bonnet is beautiful again  :) Cheers bud Pete

Yes, I know that this has been posted b4, and I've seen the results in the past, but I couldnt find it today, so I thought I'd ask it all over again:D I have a Nokia 6310i phone and I'd like the '300ZX' logo for the screen. If my memory serves me correct, I beleive someone on here made this logo up, and made it available to members (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!!). Thanks for the help  DAVE

A website which lists other websites - ie. the most useful for all different things ? ie. better than an internet search ? Also (to save another thread topic)...do automatics have a flywheel...this suggests they do.. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/torque-converter2.htm but garage chappie says they don't  Interesting stuff about automatics..... Quote Benefits and Weak Points In addition to the very important job of allowing your car come to a complete stop without stalling the engine, the torque converter actually gives your car more torque when you accelerate out of a stop. Modern torque converters can multiply the torq…

Bo!!ocks. Got home today and found a police notice on the mat. I'd been caught doing 34 mph in a 30 mph zone (not near any residential areas, empty road etc.), 3 weeks ago! I'm not complaining (much) but i'd always thought i'd get done doing 100 mph +, do not pass go, do not collect £200 style! Shouldn't they be out fighting proper crimes?
