Someone suggested that fast cars are toys and that we should have put away childish things by the time we reach a certain age & suggested that it was immature to drive a fast car. I am 35 by the way & found this a little offensive! What are your views on this opinion? Personally, I think that you only get one shot at life and so you should do what ever makes you happy.:) so long as it doesn't affect other people's welfare such as the wife, kids etc. You've got to be true to yourself regardless of how you may be judged.

I for one have found the debate about turbo size interesting and its one of the things i love about the zed - that for not huge amounts of money people can completely re-model their car to get what they want to achieve out of it. so i say carry on with the debate and for those who have the balls and money to try something different (whatever it may be) good luck to you. Anyone know what tax you'd be liable for if you bought a car from the Netherlands and drove it back to the UK? A mate of mine is pretty sure he is going to buy a Karman Ghia and drive it back. He was wondering what tax will be liable? And at what point they are paid or asked for? Thing is its a Californiam import so duty must have been already paid on it once to come into the Eu? I said one of you guys will know! Any help appreciated as always.

I'm finishing up my new garage and need to extend the electrics in to the new garage. At the moment in comes in through the concrete floor of my old garage, through a metal conduit pipe and into a junction/fuse box where it's split for the electics and lighting circuits. What's the best way of extending the cable and running it through the concrete into the new garage? Cheers Vijay

I was wondering if anyone had any idea's for a listing of upgrades and the costs; i.e. a list that owners could look at to see what they could get done for nothing apart from the right tools and some elbow grease and then onto then upto the more serious stuff that could be done by the owners with said tools, parts needed and that elbow grease :D Example; 1. clean/polish of engine bay - £free - (tools needed, time needed) 2. clear repeaters - £22.50 - (tools needed, time needed) so on and so on...... Owners must have done some mods, fix's for free/cheaper that they have not shared? Time they were shared!! ;) Just a thought. Matty.

Anyone removed them? I hear that Jap Imports of which mine is have or could have a restrictor in the exhaust. Also I would like to de cat it as its a 1990 and my understanding is that they don't need um for MOTY before 1992?? Also any info or links on De catting the main Cats most helpful. Its got a cat back system on it but even though louder than standard not by much and I obviously want more V6 growl!! Cheers Rossy

Incase you didn't know the story behind this, Lee Hughes Merc hit a Megane, killing one, injuring the 3 others in the Megane, he promptly left the scene (with a mate, leaving 3 others in his car!) and went AWOL for 36 hours, eventually turning himself into the police for questioning, after 16 hours of questioning; Lee Hughes has been charged with; 1. Causing Death By Dangerous Driving 2. Leaving The Scene Of An Accident 3. Failing To Report An Accident I hope he gets what he deserves............ My betting is he went on the run as he was; a) Drunk b) drugged up c) Both And needed time to sober up or come down. Matty.
