General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Just picked up my new temp sensor harness from the mandela... or rather I didn't - had the sense to look at it before I took it away and noticed that one of the sockets had no conductor in it at all! :rolleyes: I would have effectively just stuck a nice bit of plastic over the temp sensor - would have kept the rain off I suppose...

I phoned Nissan today for a upper plenum gasket, they quoted £73 :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: ....I've just been on Courtesy Nissan's site and from them it's $6.65 (£3.51) +shipping. Do these idiots actually expect anyone to pay these prices!! Baz

Guys I was browsing through Unique Autosports web site and came across a 300 with 900hp under the bonnet ! :shock: :bow: Anyone know anyone who's gotten anywhere near this figure ? How much do you reckon it would cost ? Obviously it's going to require MAJOR drivetrain upgrading etc but it's a nice idea....... And it does look flaming amazing too !! Mark

Ok lets take for example the witham RR results.... Each car seemed to gain at least 20BHP by just moving 200 miles up the country to coventry, that means every 200 miles you move you WILL increase your BHP by an average of 20 at the wheels. Now if we were to move our zeds over to american which is around 5000 miles away that would make my car... (5000/200)*20+203 = 703BHP Not bad, and on top of that I've added an induction kit, should see some gains from that also ;)

Shout at me if I'm getting boring with this, but in my idle Sunday moments I like to have a look through the Trader to see what's on. This one looks nice- and only 20 miles away! Pity is ten grand. I know you can't tell until you've seen it, but it does look nice. Have you not had interest yet John-boy or Pete Shrimp in yours? How low do you have to drop the price before they go? I've seen some on the Trader that have been around for months and months, and the price slowly goes down.

Right I think we have got to the bottom of the majority of this. I persoanlly believe the figures that are quoted by 300zxclub.com. I can understand why a loot of people are scepticle but I think it all comes down to this... Race Fuel (108 - 110 Octance). Most of the high RWHP figures quoted are all probably using Race fuel. This also comes into play when they say you can get 400 RWHP from stock turbo's and injectors. Without Race Fuel This wouldn't be possible. The problem is it we can't match those figures with the same mods becuase we only have 98 octane over here. All over mods we have covered. But then personally I think it's sensible to dy…

There are some brushed aluminium and Japanese rosewood dash kits for the 300zx on ebay at the moment. Has anyone fitted either of these? are they any good? Anyone got a photo of one fitted to their car. I think I prefer the alloy look one but dont want to go tacky ;) Cheers

My boy has been going every sunday for the last month or so. He says it can be quite good.....lots of cars, lots of fast cars many racing. He says he has only ever seen one Z down there, going to make it 2 tomorrow night. If anyone else wants to go, it is behind the hockey stasdium, next to the mcdonalds and burger king.
