Just read a comment about losing a watch by 'Mark', which got me thinking, since I've not worn a watch for about 10 years or so. I rely on a well-honed sense of time, oh, and the fact that my mobile acts as a pocket-watch these days. So are you a watch wearer? (p.s. This is my first poll, so hopefully it'll work!)

  4. this mit work just had it emailed to me Thought it might be worth a try! We are going to hit close to 89p a litre by the summer. Want petrol prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. Philip Hollsworth offered this good idea: This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy petrol on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can …

:nono: I have rebuild a computer for a friend and installed xp pro. I have also installed all the latest patches (sp1) etc. Now I have 28 days to activate. I don't suppose any one has access to the above, I promise not to leak onto the net or anything. If you could pm me that would be great :D I think I have a work around as my installation is not kosher but I think I needed to use the key before sp1. I have tried my key using findkey.exe which was a corp one but it wont work after install of sp1. Also my pid is 649 which is not good as I guess M$ will kill all machines without a pid of 640 in some later sp, so if you have a key that generates a pid of 640…

Just watched Sundays Top Gear. So now I'm thinking it's apparently not illegal to hold and use a (hand-held) two-way radio whilst driving! And there was me advising people they should clip a radio to themselves (or somewhere) before hitting the button to talk (to stay within the law). I think that's just fickin hilarious having read the cr@p bumpf that came from my phone provider about it being: against the law to hold a mobile phone whilst driving, whether that be to answer it or whatever. I mean, FFS!.. a two-way radio obviously isn't a phone but it's most certainly a "thing" that you can hold in one hand and talk into. Is it illegal to masturbate whilst driving?! (cock…

Having spent a big part of last week and the weekend changing pcv assemblies on other zeds and dealing with many zed owners who have or had issues with smoking exhaust and possible turbo seal problems, I must admit to been a bit relieved to have not had any major problems with that or oil leaks etc of any kind on the few zeds I have, however that all changed last night as I returned home on the M42, after cruising at 70 mph for a while a typical sales rep on his way home provoked me into the "eat my dust situation" which is so easy to do with a zed. But dust was not what he was eating, despite my zed creating a 5 car gap in no time the smoke screen it left was a series ha…

Hi Greg, I'm afraid there is no other way for me to contact you. I have received your e-mail regarding the speedo rings and have attempted four times to reply but my messages keep being returned with the following error code: FYI: I should have another batch of speedo rings in stock in about two weeks. Can you please give me a call on 07044016586 or e-mail me again with a contact number so that I can contact you. Thank you. Regards, Danny

Just been told by a number of sources that these tyres are being phased out in the 265/35 x 18 range. Not sure if they are taking the whole range off the shelf or just this size. Anyone have any more info ?

Holds hand up as not being the most computer literate on here, but it appears I have been infected with somethign called a CoolWebSearch cookie, which has embedded itself in my RegKey and RegValue somehow. I have tried Webroot and AdAware which both say they have removed it but then it is still there. It is just trackin where I am going (so no nippin off to juicy boobs.com then!!! ;) ) but also resets my homepage. I have run a hijack this log if its any use. Anyone had this before? Any advise from you computer specialists as to whats best to compeltely remove it with?? TIA Nick
