Cant believe it, for probably the 4th time this year already I am ill again!! (no sarky comments about my mental state please!!) I HATE being ill....... :nono: Had to leave work early today, thought I was gonna pass out so had to go into the spare office, drink coffee and have a choccy bar (as recommended by my boss) and thta really seemed to give me some energy.....but I was still really shaken so I got to go home. Drove the zed 50 miles home without going above 0+/-psi, thats how slow I went!!!! Bin home, had a kip, dont feel 100% typing this now but I feel better for the kip.......had the doc ring me, says its more than likely some viral infection rather…

Does anybody have any pics of a Z32 with HID lights (with them on in the dark) ? Ive searched but cant find any. I recently purchased a import and my headlights have this white/xenon type glow. They dont look like normal Z lights. I also have a pair of bright white lights arround the number plate (front). Similar to fog lights but a whiteish glow. They come on when the main light's are on.

Just had a before and after dyno run at Thor with my new ECU. I posted the graphs in the Dyno forum. He said 182 at the wheels with the stock ECU and 190 at the wheels with the chipped ECU. Is this OK? What should I do next?? And nobody say buy a TT. I have agonised long and hard over NA/TT but I have enjoyed doing the little bits to the car that I have so far. OK it might not be huge power, but I have noticed the differences as I got the exhaust, induction and now ECU and I feel quite proud of it.

Well the idea was my Z was going to be an everyday car but as I have been completly bitten by the bug in the space of a week and before long my car will have a body kit, funky wheels and a whole lot more boost I dont think its really sensible for turning up at a customers office with, (rumbling exhausts will get nothing but frowns I think, I have already become public enemy no. 1 with all the staff at my boys school, wait till the miserable old cows see the finished article, ) So the shopping list has been narrowed down to either an Alfa 156 2.5l or a 200sx s14, budget is 6k tops, I should get an decent alfa for that but whats the deal with the s14's are they…

  10. Was thinking about this the other day... All us auto owners will know what happens - you're pootling along at 50 or whatever, see an overtaking opportunity so plant your accelerator down. The revs rise rapidly for half a second or so, the car kicks down a couple of gears, then BAMMMM!! Full boost :mac1: whooooooooooooooosh. I think that short period whilst the revs fly up is something to do with the torque converter, am I right? So the car isnt actually in drive whilst the turbos are winding up right? This probably explains why autoboxs are considered to be weaker - downshift tends to happen under full boost with the the throttle applied, whereas…

Wow, first time on here in what seems like ages (8 days & counting!) Been busy painting everything in our new house, so not had a chance to come back to my parents house to log on. Anyway, on my way to B&Q yesterday, thinking I must have the quickest car on our estate, then I notice some bloke around the corner from me was polishing his car - a Rosso Red Ferrari 360 Modena  Lucky bugger, I'll have to get to know him & blag a ride off him sometime :hyper:

I want to publicly state that Smithies products are Top Quality. I know I have had hassle fitting them and in asking for advice it has caused some confusion as to the quality of the product and has led to bad feeling. There is a need to adjust some things which isnt much of a problem. Unfortunatly my SWB seems to have other ideas and further modification is required. This is not the fault of the product but my bloody car, its not the 1st time things could not be fitted without some thought. I would however like to bring to everyones attention that the stock rad is crap and the hose connection is weak. Apparently quite a lot of people have had these break. Be Car…

Just been reading an amusing thread over on 300club, so thought Id start one over here basically, what was your reaction when you 1st drove a 'stage 3' or more Z? I myself went from stock, to 15psi, Zcentre downs, intake and Drager cat back, and I cried with fear, 2nd time i punched it i cried with delight :) Then went hunting lol :)

One side of the undertray dropped on my daily driver (mysteriously not long after it had been in a main dealer)... Anyway, took it into Kwit-Fit Saturday morning because I had the Z jacked up, and I was buggered if I was taking all that down to sort the other car out... ...so he sticks it on his ramp, has one look at it, comes back in reception and tells me it's all well shagged and it was strictly a main dealer job, and it's all got wedged cos I've been driving around like that etc (which I haven't.) So just now I go outside, I jack the front up, I have a look under there and I find two missing bolts. Well, screws actually, with Torx connectors on (German …
