As the title really. Take your car to a garage, do you want the problem masked (yeah it'll run and everythin but not how it was designed to) or would you like the root cause found and sorted? I know which I'd go for but then I'd like everyone elses opinion on this. Maybe I've been wasting my time sorting peoples cars out when I never realised people would be happy with a bodge at a much higher price...

My Z lives again, I got her back tonight and It's the most I have ever felt happy about owning her right from the start. Just had an engine re-build from my old engine which had a cracked block and a donor engine that had a good block, pistons and rings. Also got new gaskets/seals etc and a new RPS Sport Clutch. Now I can get on and enjoy driving her everyday to work etc. My God what a flyer she goes better than ever before and I don't even need to run her in either, she runs at around 13.5 PSI with the only modifications being a Mines ECU and 1mm Boost jets. Thanx to Z TECH I have wheels again and thanx Ryan for all of your pat…

Ok I'm bored at work, so thought I'd go through my list of stuff to do to the Zed over the winter :) in no particular order; 1) Fit Timing belt kit, inc water pump, stat, belts etc. 2) Fit Replacement injector wiring harnesses. 3) Fit new ECU water temp sender unit and harness. 4) Have boot lid smoothed, and fit new perspex panel. 5) Sort and fit modified '99 spec rear lights. 6) Re-Furbe leather with Woolies kit. 7) Re-wire rear fog lamp and re-position switch. 8) Clean/sort PTU contacts. 9) Send ECU off for modifying. 10) Fit (properly) OEM mudflaps. 11) Oil change. And a few I'd like to have done, 12) Fit '99 spec front bumper, and hav…

I was invited along by some mates of mine, so I am heading off to this for the weekend (Shakespere County raceway). Aim is to try to show up some more Cossies and beat the XR2 turbo that one of them has created with my assistance. ;) If anyone on here happens to be going, pop and say hello if you see me. Looking foward to trying to better my times from the Pod - hopefully Avon has more grip & temperature will definately be lower. Just hope none of them get annoyed by a jap car running :xxx:

Hi all In a completely off the wall moment I wondered if it's possible or indeed if anyone has put bakes off a different manufacturer on a Z ? Maybe Porsche ? I was admiring the brakes on a Jag XKR in B&Q car park today (pretty sad I know) and they looked HUGE ! Mark

I helped the garage guy out yesterday fitting KYB AGX adjustable shocks with Eibach Sport springs all round.Plus fully adjustable camber arms to my Zed.He only has the use of one arm and me having a disabled right hand made for a bit of a struggle but we got em all done in the end. What a laugh though.Today had the four wheel alinement sorted out at a local firm, bit of a tweek hear and there, sorted.Next week goes to body shop for full wide arch kit, side skirts and very uncommon rear bumper, which I think will look awsome when fitted. Then thats it ;) Or is it ?

hullo, feeling the need to wash the car but i'm going to be really anal about it as i've just had it sprayed. Is it wise to use those broom type brushes attached to the garage pressure washes or will they leave those horrible little scratches in the paint? I'm a bit of a rookie when it comes to actually looking after a car properly, i;ve always been a lazy git in the past and just shoved them through the car wash or had a valet place do them!! :slap: (got some meguirs polish today too, cant wait for a dry weekend so I can pamper the car!)
