General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Been a long day the engine went in fine but the autobox was fighting it all the way what a poxy thing that is nothing like a nice manual box to fit ;) The bloody dipstick tube and cooler tubes are a wind up to fit :headvswal Getting there though Just got to finnish a few bits underneith then put all the wiring, belts, rad, turbo and indution pipes on and will be ready to fire her up :hyper:

Hey guys, Me and a few mates are planning a trip through France, Belgium and then through germany to the Nurburg ring for a few days. Im hoepfully going to be in a pickup to be able to take spare parts like tires, brake pads and oil for after the cars have been thrashed round the ring. iv had a read on the RAC site to see what we will need to take with us when driving through Europe, but have any of you lot got any ideas on what we should be taking? So far iv got: Spare tires on steel rims brake pads oil sump bung, engine flush and oil filter fire extinguisher warning triangle trolly jack X2 insurance documents driving liscense pass…

BIG thanks to Greg for spending his entire weekend off work replacing my waterpump with me. Just been reading the 'How Long Have You Owned Your Zed' thread and wondered why do people like the Zed on here. Is it the looks? Or is it the Speed? Or is it the pulling power? ;) Or somthing else??????????? Personally I like the looks, I know that there are faster and better looking (but only just ;) ) cars out there, but from the moment I first saw one infront of me, with what looked like blown turbos, I just knew I had to have one :D I cant say the speed, as the last time I drove mine it still had the Jap limiter on (now been removed) and ran like a bag of crap if you floored it!!! Hopefully it'll run better now :D

just took this out not a hard job really lol. just found that its a short changer but it was so sloppy thats why have just removed it to find that who ever did the change didnt put the bushes back in :xxx: ggot some off slick pete other day so there goin in now let you know how it is

Ive not had my ZX for long but already Ive noticed I get tailgated far more often that in my previous (modest) car. I also get overtaken inappropriately more often too. I guess some of this is curiosity from ppl wanting to get a closer look at a rare car, but its pretty unnerving. Maybe the driver behind sees Twin Turbo on the back and wants to see if his car (a BMW more often than not) will keep up, though I dont drive all that fast, honest. Any thoughts from you older and wiser Z owners?

my car goes in to SE on Saturday :cry: for a lot of engine and suspension work :dance: so when do people think I will get it back :rolleyes:

how do zed drivers cope without a tinted rear screen :confused: ...its a godsend almost every car on the road at night has its headlight levelled right through the rear screen cos we sit so low...i still get headaches....dread to think what it would be like without it if it wasnt standard it must be the most essential mod ever IMHO
