I was on my way to not so great Yarmouth when i come across a mx5 so we both went for it i came pass him then all my lights on the dash come on battery and that. looked at my temp it was sky high. so i slow right down until i could find a suitable place to stop and steam just poured out of my arches and engine bay (it did look really cool though like fast and furious style as it come out of the vents in my arches). anyway i opened the bonnet to find a belt just hanging there, it was the fan belt but not only that i got in the car and the gears felt really odd when it was in gear it felt as if it was in neutral, it felt really loose. Well was over on the mainland to Birmingham at the weekend, popped over to Jeffs at Zedworld whilst i was there to sort me oil leaks out and cambelt swap, great service, cheers mate ;) Met up with JD saturday afternoon and headed for WRC-Tech in Silverstone who have fast achieved good feedback for their RR sessions. Had around 25 Porsches in having a shoot out, which was quite impresive to see and despite them finishing later than expected, the owner agreed to stay open whilst JD and their mapper Chris played with me car, end result was a reasonable 414.4 bhp and a highly impresssive 475lb of torque. Owning my Zed is proving to be very very frustrating!!!! Seems like every problem I have to fix is always gonna cost me small fortune!!!!! I've had this car since April and its no where near going on the road. Latest problem/stumbling block is because its been lowered ( and I dont have the special tool to raise it) the front tyres are down to the canvas on the inside. So its gonna cost me 2 tyres at £108 each and a set of adjustable upper arms at around £270 plus the bushes on the lower arms arent to clever.
