had my test today practised for 3 days in the beautiful sun.. then walla test day comes and its thundering rain was thin and misty horrible on the old visor, been doing emergency stops all week and have them perfected, then on the day he takes me to this nice new resurfaced road(wet) I approach him at 30mph, apply the brakes and for some reason my rear wheel skidded I wouldnt usually apply hardly any pressure to the rear in this weather but anyway the bike comes to a controlled stop and does a little skid. FAil FAil FAil only got a few minors as in all fairness Im quite a good rider .. but it all boils down to these two things emergency stop…

At Rainbow beach at the moment ready for a Fraser Island trip tomorrow....its absolutely pissing it down!!! Most of Southern Queensland has had 6-10 inches of rain in the last 24 hours! Back up to Darwin next week though where is at least 30 degrees and sunny all the time. Seen a few Zeds already, a '95 TT manual is $27k which is about 12k GBP I think. Tuning scene is very big in Oz it seems, loads of ricers about.

The fitter attended my house today and fitted the new alarm system. I have a paid a little extra for window closer but how cool. It also has intellistart which means I can start her up without getting in and that way I can probably negate the need for a turbo timer. Although for £50 cash, the fitter would fit a turbo timer.

Damn... that my first reaction.... But, happy that from the announced 17 cars, 4 came finally, and, only ONE english from these 4. In total we ended only 7, 1 german car 3 holland car 1 belgian car 1 english car THe forum user here who was there, "Topless" and another nice guy, will better tell you what happened, but it's really annoying: 'loosing' guys on the highway, forgetting passport, missing ferry, taking wrong directions....never saw that before  Oh, arrival would have been around 15:00 in namur....... real arrival was 20:15!!! But a GREAT thnx to THOSE who came, very kind, and nice to have met them, and really a shame for thos…

Left london in glorious sunshine this afternoon only to meet a full on thunder storm on the M25. Within a matter of minutes there was a blanket of water over the M25 about 1/2" to 1" deep... and the visability was down to about 5 metres. My Zed was aqua-planeing at 30mph and was a bitch to keep in a straight line...I had to result to following a lorry who was clearing most of the water for me. Just wondering if anyones ever tried to drive a zed in the snow  whats it like?

Firstly id like to thank all the guys who turned up at Dover for the trip. The ones that didnt turn up, well, you miised some great weather and some lovely roads. As said in other threads there was highs and lows! mainly with Chris's car, but it was all sorted and very well done to the guys that helped out and to our new european friends who, without them there could of been even more lows. Was good to meet Peter Nendels, Eric Lymon, Danny (mean machine), Marco, Blacky and the German chap who runs the http://www.twinturbo.de site (sorry ive forgotton your name). Id like to say a HUGE thanks to Tom, Brian and the rest of the crew at Import art that helped Ch…

Having wondered the eternal question of 'how many zeds are out there', I decided to give the DVLA a try. They sent me to the DfT, and a nice man there (Mike Dark) kindly looked it up on the computer. These figures are for all models - i.e. anything that matched 300zx. So here's the figures as at the end of March: 4601 originally registered 1659 still registered (including mine that's still with Ryan - hint hint) 691 with a SORN 461 between keepers - they don't know yet if they're scrapped, SORN or 'under new management'. He reckons for their age, it's about average for the amount scrapped. That's 2942 dead zeds  No wonder yo…

Just had a slight stroke! Went out for a slow cruise to the post office to pay money to the DVLA, when I got back and was parking the car it spewed coolant out (cue:- ). Couldn't see any reason myself, car doesn't run even remotely hot , no dodgey pipes, completely bamboozeled (websters dictionary word). Phone Andy at AP motors and begged him to have a quick look. Half way there although it was running fine I thought I'd better check I wasn't losing coolant again. Turned out the top of the radiator where the (Greddy not oem ) cap goes was worn and the cap wasn't always catching (cue:- :slap: and feel silly  ). Anyway managed to do very little work again th…
